My late brother only bought crates which are returnable, Tafel here not so it is smaller six pack but much lower price to other beers, must be in glass!
That is the beauty of it. It is just sad that small breweries are not part of it. It would have been a lovely system if every brewery used the same type of bottle, then you could bring back some of the bottles for deposit and then re-use all of the glass.
Re-cycling can be done other than monetary deposit, build raised vegetable gardens using wine or beer bottles using glass, attractive and useful in variety of colours, well that is my idea of using bottles in preference to simply adding to dumps.

For sure. I get about R40.00 back per crate. Nice discount when you buy more beer! Glass is the only way.
