Die Neue / The new one 😎🍻

Diesmal war es João der sichtlich aufgeregt und siegessicher blickend zur Haustür hereintrat, in der Hand eine Plastiktüte.
Glaubte ich erst das der gute Mann nur so nervös sei weil in wenigen Minuten die Übertragung des Fußballspiels im Fernsehen beginne, zu dessen Anlass wir uns wieder in meiner Stube trafen, erkannte aber, als er hektisch in seiner Tüte wühlte, das es wohl einen anderen Grund hatte das er so zappelig ist.
Freudestrahlend zog er eine Dose Bier hervor, hielt sie mir vors Gesicht und sagte, „ das kennst du garantiert noch nicht „.
Damit hatte er absolut recht und wie ich nun erfuhr, handelte es sich bei diesem unbekannten Bier um einen Neueinsteiger auf dem portugiesischen Markt.

Von den sechs 0,5l Dosen die er dabei hatte, ließ ich unverzüglich eine verschwinden, sollte die Neue doch meine Eintrittskarte zum aktuellen BeerSaturday vom @detlev sein und später noch ins rechte Licht gerückt und in Ruhe verkostet werden.
Aber vorher schaute ich mal nach, welche Ziele sich die Brauer mit ihrem Bier selbst gesteckt haben und war über deren Selbstvertrauen schon ein wenig überrascht.

Oha, große Worte dachte ich mir und blickte auf die nun nicht gerade besonders einfallsreich gestaltete Blechdose. Ob man mit solchen Sprüchen die Welt erobern kann, halte ich für fragwürdig und wenn man seinem Bier Stabilisatoren und Farbstoffe beimischt erst recht.
Da wusste ich allerdings noch nicht, das man dort oben im Norden des Landes noch mehr drauf hat als Dosenbier und erst als ich diese Seite entdeckte, war meine Neugier ernsthaft geweckt, denn dort präsentierte man ganz andere Exemplare, die zumindest optisch sehr ansprechend sind.

Mein Liebchen wollte auch probieren, bräuchte Sie doch jetzt dringend ein Bier wie sie mir verriet.

Ich mache es mal kurz, denn wirklich viel fällt mir nicht ein um dieses Bier blumig zu umschreiben.
Es schmeckte nach, ja nach was eigentlich?
Während João noch eine Hopfen Note im Abgang wahrnahm, wunderte ich mich über die Neutralität dieses Bieres, absolut geschmacksneutral. Liebchen nannte es erfrischend.

I'll keep it short because I really can not think of much to describe this beer flowery.
It tasted like, well, what actually?
While João still perceived a hop note in the finish, I wondered about the neutrality of this beer, absolutely tasteless. My sweetheart called it refreshing.

Das riss mich natürlich nicht zu Begeisterungsstürmen hin, aber viel zu nörgeln gab es auch nicht, provozierte es auch nicht unnötig die Geschmacksnerven mit zu abenteuerlichen Aromen.
Als ich erfuhr das der halbe Liter gerade mal 50 Cent gekostet hatte, wunderte ich mich auch nicht weiter und gab dem kühlen Blonden Lager mit seinen 5% VOL / ALC das Prädikat:
Preis / Leistung geht in Ordnung und schmeckt auch nicht schlechter oder besser, als die zwei Platzhirsche im Land, SAGRES und SUPER BOCK, kostet dafür nur die Hälfte.
Ein Allerweltbier eben.

Of course, this did not cause me to enthusiasm, but there was not much to complain about, it did not unnecessarily provoke the taste buds with too adventurous flavors.
When I realized that the half-liter had cost just 50 cents, I wondered no further and gave the cool Blonde Lager with its 5% VOL / ALC the predicate:
Price/performance is fine and tastes no worse or better than the two top dogs in the country, SAGRES, and SUPER BOCK, and costs only half.
An all-world beer just.

Ich werde diese Brauerei im Auge behalten und hoffe demnächst mal eines ihrer CRAFT Biere probieren zu können, denn grundsätzlich freue ich mich sehr darüber, wenn der eher etwas langweilige Bier Markt Portugals, von ein paar Neuen aufgemischt wird.

I will keep an eye on this brewery and hope to be able to try one of their CRAFT beers soon because basically, I'm very happy when the rather boring beer market of Portugal, is mixed up by a few new ones.
