Between beers and rock and roll to make you smile! | The #BeerSaturday Challenge Week 439

in BEER10 hours ago

Hello beer lovers on Hive!

It's Saturday and an international rock festival is happening in my city, so let's drink beer and celebrate with some great music while the rain takes over with the arrival of a cold front that I hope will really bring down the temperature because I love winter weather!

I've been feeling nostalgic and sad for too long. I hope that with the music and the people around me, a smile will take center stage.

We started the afternoon sharing some Spanish beers, curiously named Cerveza. What a catchy name, haha...

I think I mentioned it a while ago when I first tried it. Today, we don't have the option to choose which one we want, so this one is fine while we wait for one of the concerts we were planning to attend to start.

Hiperdino beer, brewed in Spain and simply packaged, is a pilsner with a light flavor reminiscent of the typical malt of lager beer.

It doesn't have a particularly robust body or a head that significantly retains its temperature. Its 4.8% alcohol content gives it a refreshing quality that's especially welcome when paired with food. On this occasion, we enjoyed it with some delicious cheese shavings and cured meats, which were perfect for preparing us for the evening.

As evening approached, we decided to look for another option.

So we found the Moosehead, for a change. It wasn't our first choice either, but we decided to have it while we waited for the afternoon to end, chatting about various topics in the cozy Santa Rosalía restaurant.

The Moosehead, with its more attractive presentation, is a lager also from Canada's oldest independent brewery, giving it a symbolically appealing character.

Golden, refreshing, and light, it has a remarkable balance between malty flavor and hop bitterness. It also boasts a head that helps it stay cool for a good while.

Speaking of time, it slipped away without us noticing and we remembered that the concert was about to start.

We arrived just as the first song was starting. A band called Blue Spirits greeted us with a blend of blues and jazz. The weather was perfect; all that was missing was beer.

And what a surprise it was when the only beer they had was the very same one we'd drunk a few hours earlier!

Well then, let's listen to some good blues music with a HiperDino Beer, hoping you'll join us sometime.

In the meantime, we'll say goodbye, but not before sending you all a hug of light!

Don't forget to smile!

Cheers!

Beer is one of the oldest cultural achievements of mankind and one of the most popular beverages all over the world. From the technological point of view, beer has four main properties based on its contents and manufacturing processes. It is (i) pure, (ii) wholesome, (iii) valuable, and (iv) it displays a variety of styles and genres.
The purity is guaranteed by the natural ingredients: hops, malt, yeast, and water. No pathogenic germs are found in beer because of the pH-value, presence of hop substances, the anaerobic environment, the alcohol content and also the fact that yeast metabolizes nearly all fermentable sugars. Therefore, other micro-organisms experience a food shortage. Additionally, the manufacturing process is a clarifying process. Mashing, lautering, boiling, fermentation, and filtration separate harmful or exogenous substances.
Beer is wholesome because of the variability and the balance of its contents. For example, 1 l of beer has low carbohydrate contents and fewer calories than the equivalent amount of apple juice or milk. It contains no preserving agents but valuable amino acids at a moderate acidity. Generally, its alcohol content is in a physiologically advantageous relation to its water content.

Interesting
