Hello beer lovers at hive!
In many parts of the world, autumn has arrived, altering people's routines. In others, winter brings them cozying up at home. In Cuba, there's neither autumn nor winter, just a near-perpetual climate of heat and more heat.
Today is a rather chaotic day. I'm the sole survivor of an environment teeming with people suffering from dengue fever and other viral illnesses that have swept across almost the entire country.
I was on my way to get some food for my son when I came across an open café whose decor I'd always found charming. The owner and I have known each other since we were teenagers, and when he saw me, he suggested we have a beer to cool off on that hot day.
Of course, don't object at all. A nice cold beer is good at practically any time of day.
I was served a Lander Bräu, a premium Dutch beer that I remembered having tried before, and I opened it with all the calm and pleasure I could muster.
It's a beer that, for a moment, evokes the consistency of German beers, perhaps reminiscent of a Bavarian beer I'd had previously, but with a subtle malty note supported by a medium body. This is evident in its golden color and in the unique characteristic that, when poured, it appears to have a generous head, yet after a few minutes, this foamy layer diminishes, leaving only a thin layer of heat that helps maintain its refreshing quality.
When I inquired about the price, I learned that it's not one of the most expensive on the market. This is consistent with its characteristics, which include the fact that it has an alcohol content of only 4.2%.
Almost at the end of my drink, I felt like the succulent plant adorning the table—satisfied, refreshed, and ready to continue on my way.
The owner wouldn't let me leave without offering me another beer to enjoy in the peace and quiet of my home. I didn't refuse, as it would be inappropriate to decline such a genuine gesture from someone who cares about you.
The gift finally came in handy, as the lack of electricity became quite noticeable once I got home. Luckily, the beer was in the refrigerator, and I decided to drink it by the light of a small lamp I'd set up to try and write these lines. Seeing it illuminated like that suddenly made me think of another beer, but it doesn't matter, this one is cold, delicious, and as such, I'm enjoying it with you all!
So, as I gaze at the moon, I bid you farewell with a toast to the smile of time.

No soy muy aficionado a la cerveza, ya que los licores y bebidas solo los pruebo de vez en cuando; no suelen ser lo que más disfruta mi paladar. Pero me alegra muchísimo ver cuánto la disfrutaste, ¡eso es lo importante!
El lugar se ve fantástico, transmite una vibra muy acogedora, y eso siempre suma puntos. Me encanta ese tipo de ambientes.
