Beer Tasting: Nastro Azurro and Löwenbräu

in BEER4 years ago

Hello beer tasters!

How are you? The beers are brewing, community is live, Steem slowly rise, everything looks great.
I'm a blogger. That's mean, ha, in my understanding of blogging, I'm posting what's happening to me through this timeline called life.
So, I have some themes where I'm focused on. Beer tasting is one, Psychedelic Space is another, live music and VJing is regularly when I post videos and photography with the phone. And, I don't care what an sh**t the Steem price is, the platforms here fit my needs and that's enough for me. Well, it's better as value grows, but I won't die if it doesn't.
Hm... sounds like statement :)

Well, go to the point. Someone needed my services, found me, and convinced me to go to Rome for three days. Okay, I was at my disposal, they arranged everything for me.
I was a little surprised that we went by train (I don't remember when I went to business by train, I usually go by plane, yes, of course, now there is a smaller carbon footprint in fashion and that ...).
Basically, a high-speed train is a great choice, plenty of space, fast wi-fi, electricity and of course a bar :)

Nastro Azurro

I tried this beer on the train. Brewed by commercial brewery Peroni, Rome, Italy. Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.1% ABV.
The bar was empty when I walked in.

Then I walked back to the wagon. And slowly sipped the chilled beer.

Pure yellow color. A little foam. Lager style beer. Nothing special. I also didn't expect anything.

The train is fast, I have to admit. We drove an average of over 200 km per hour. And accurate. Trieste - Rome, transferring to Venezia-Mestre, in five and a half hours. On schedule.

In Rome. A colleague who knows the city well because he worked there for five years, he took us there and we pretty much walked and visited the sights. (I'll post something about that but later).

Finally, in the evening, to a traditional Roman pizza at PizzaRé.

Löwenbräu draft

I was surprised they didn't serve local beers in a PizzaRé place. They offered us wines, but I don't like wine with pizza. They only had Leffe and Löwenbräu draft beer. Okay, Löwenbräu. They have it here in my hometown too but I have never tried it so I will now.

Brewed by Löwenbräu, Munich, Germany. Draft, 0.44 l, alcohol 5.2% ABV. The beer is pure yellow color, the foam average. Solid bitterness in the first sip, a taste of malt with the aroma of hops. Classic lager. It's refreshing.
Of course, after 12 km of walking the ordinary water would be very refreshing too :)

Traditional Roman pizza looks like calcone pizza but there is called "panini pizza by Costierra Sorrentino" with prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella, ruccola, without tomatoes. Very tasty, I must admit.
Well, that would be it.

Enjoy Your Beer!
