It's still an annoying amount of steps and fees instead of for instance coins.ph accepting hive directly or a competitor to launch which does so, given how many ph users we have here, it's weird none have bothered to accept hive and use the social side of hive to grow their customer-base.

Completely agree! Coins PH is quite conservative and accepts only the most popular currencies. This might be the reason (or I could be wrong) since it's also just as hard for users to go through hoops of verifications to get a substantial withdrawal. That, or because Hive (the currency) is not regulated by a corporate entity the same way others like SOL and ADA are. Just my 2 cents though because I see a lot of memecoins there as well.
coinsph accepts memecoins, and yet they put alot of hurdles to Hive to be listed.
There where a small attempt by the DBuzz team a few years back, but did not make any progress.
