Hey there! This is me, your AmerrEffect from City of Naga, Cebu. I hope everyone is doing well, stay hydrated as we welcome the sunny season of summer.
I am extremely excited as I am writing right now for my introblog as I am also wanted to share a glimpse about my life. To be honest, I am glad that someone introduced hive to me and I think this could be my channel to express myself and explore different communities.
And before anything else, let me introduce myself, I am Matt Aamer Patalinghug 17 years old and I live here at Barangay Mainit, City of Naga, Cebu. Nothing beats the excitement I felt this year as I look forward for the upcoming months because this month of April I will graduating from Senior High School and soon enough will be entering College. I could say, I finally felt a mixed of emotions this past few weeks as I kept on thinking about what the future holds. I know for sure that this could be a challenge for me but whatever it takes, I’ll keep going. As they say, we cannot leap into a higher level if we didn’t take risk on the path that we wanted to take.
A little bit of my personal background, I am the youngest of the 3 siblings and I grew up without the presence of my father because he passed away when I was 6 years old. I was so young back then to realize how he was suffering from a heart attack not until I grew up… that’s the time it made me realized that it is so hard growing up without a father. But thankfully, my mother never left us despite the hardships she experienced. She never fail as a parent and she works hard for us to provide our needs. That made me so proud of her and that is also one of the reason why I wanted to finish my studies just like my brother and sister so I could also work and provide for the family.
What are the things I love to do?
Well, nothing much aside from I love eating… lol, just kidding. For the other things that I love to do, is the love of travel. I haven’t been far but I’ve been to a lot of beaches here in Cebu. My family loves to do outing trip in the southern part of Cebu like Alcoy, Moalboal, Badian, Dalaguete and also some parts of the northern Cebu. I never feel tired whenever I am travelling with the whole fam merely because they are my loved ones and we really enjoy each other’s company. No matter how far we travel we always make sure to have fun and make the moment more memorable. My family is my greatest treasure in life and just like the other, they are my source of happiness. Despite growing up without a father, I am well guided in life because I have my older brother who stood as a father figure for us. He always make sure to check on us all the time and that made me proud of him.
What do I want in the future?
As I already mentioned that I will be entering College, I will be enrolling at University of Visayas Main Campus where my older brother and sister graduated. I will be enrolling for Marine Technology because I wanted to become a seafarer just like my older brother. He is my inspiration, and aside from that, I truly dreaming about it since childhood because that is what my heart desires. I cannot definitely explain why but I wanted to work overseas and explore different places of the world. I know for sure that it is not easy specially that it takes a few months onboard away from your family as to what I observed from my brother but for the sake of my goals and dreams – I am willing to sacrifice and work hard for my future and for my family. This could be a bigger milestone that I will be leaping with full of courage and excitement. I cannot deny the fact that it makes me anxious sometimes but I am confident that I can make it with the guidance of the people around me.
During the Hive Onboarding Orientation
I am truly thankful to ate @helianthus-Chloe and @honeylhen1995 because they are the one who introduced Hive to me. At first, I am just curious about the things they do until I learned something a little bit of information about it which it is like writing about your daily life and that makes me interested. I asked them if I could join them and gladly the community is very open to new comers. Before the orientation they already given me a brief information about how the platform being used and the do’s and don’ts also. Let me have this opportunity also to thanked Sir @intoy.bugoy for conducting the onboarding orientation and providing us the necessary things in this platform.
Again, this is AmerrEffect from City of Naga Cebu. I excited and looking forward to more blogs soon. I will make sure to have fun exploring other communities in this platform and to meet other people across the world. Another reason why I decided to enter this platform because I could see that this is a good way to channel your inner self and express the thoughts in your mind. I could say, life is really wonderful as it is because there are a lot of things that we can do outside our comfort zone. To be honest, I am not really good at writing specially in English language and I think this could also helped me improve my English and the way how I could express in writing because there is always a difference in expressing through writing and verbal speaking.
