When I Realized Something Was Wrong
I thought it was just a normal wound that would heal in a few days. But it’s been two weeks, and my wound still looks fresh, no signs of drying or healing. There’s still blood, and it seems to spread around the affected skin.
It all started with my foot. One day, I noticed a single wound. I thought, “Okay, this will heal tomorrow.”
Days later, instead of healing, I saw another wound near the first one. What’s more surprising? The first one never healed, it wasn’t even dry.
The wound at my right foot.
I still ignored it, thinking it would eventually get better. But after one week, I already had four wounds on my foot and another one starting to appear on my right leg.
Finally Taking Action
That was when I started to worry. The problem is, I waited two weeks before actually treating it.
The wound at my right leg.
I hoped it stayed protected during the flood weeks ago, but I still made sure to clean it with soap and water every time I came from outside.
Here’s what I’ve been using for treatment:
What I use for treating my wounds.
- Agua Oxinada (Hydrogen Peroxide)
- Betadine
- Mupirocin
- Amoxicillin
- Cloxacillin
- Gauze pad
My Wound Care Process
- Clean the wound with soap and water.
- Dry it with a paper towel.
- Apply Agua Oxinada for disinfection.
- Use cotton to clean away the bubbles (I was told bubbles mean it’s not fully cleaned).
- Apply Betadine and Mupirocin.
- Open an Amoxicillin capsule and put the powder directly on the wound.
- Cover it with a gauze pad to keep it clean.
It’s a long process, but I hoped it would stop the wounds from spreading.
What I Suspect It Is
I never had a checkup, but I feel like it’s “mamaso”, a contagious skin infection that can spread from person to person through direct contact.
It can also spread to other parts of your body, so I make sure to clean my hands with alcohol before touching anything after cleaning the wound.
So far, the wounds seem to be improving, but I noticed a new one on my left leg. I’m treating it early to prevent complications.
What I Learned
I asked ChatGPT about my treatment process, and it mentioned some unnecessary steps—like putting Amoxicillin directly on the wound, which should actually be taken orally, not applied directly.
Overall, I just hope that in the coming days, I’ll be fully healed and can move freely again without worrying about new wounds appearing.

This looks painful and sounds horrifying
if it was me by the time I see the second second injury
I'd start to panic and run to the nearby pharmacy
Chatgpt is good but not as good as a doctor
Wishing you a speedy recovery, the injuries look really painful.
I'm seeing the progress for my current process and yeah, we shouldn't rely that much with AI when it comes to medical assistance.
Thank goodness🥹
that's great
I'm truly sorry for what you're going through. I recommend having your wounds checked by a medical professional as soon as possible to ensure getting the proper diagnosis and treatment. When I read you had it for 2 weeks and are developing new wounds, it sounded like a red flag. Anyway, hope you get better soon.
Haha yeah, if my current system didn't work, will definitely seek for a professional advice.
Are there any doctors or public hospital in your area? What if you have diabetes? Hope you can go for a check up ASAP. Don't delay because that's how illnesses get worse and then we will regret not going to the doctor sooner. I experienced that mindset and suffered for it.
I think it's healing now, public hospital nearby sucks that you have to the line for the whole day and not your check up yet.
That's normal in public hospitals but at least you will get to a doctor despite the long wait. You can pray the rosary while waiting in line, easy to do and is the best way to spend our idle time and make it useful. 😁
Anyway good to know if it's already healing. I would still advice you go to a doctor to prevent any case that would cause any future effect on your health.
