Foundation Week Celebration at our Community College

Despite the delay due to unforeseen events, it was still pushed through in the end and even if the weather wouldn't cooperate with us. Our Community College's Foundation Week Celebration went on, and here are some of the glimpse of it.

At the Opening...

Our Emergency Response Team have augmented with the Safety Response Team, Medics, and NSTP officers to look out for the safety of the students that would be surging towards the Activity Center, a closed venue, and shallow openings with minimal ventilation.

All of the students were gathered in front of the campus near the lobby. They were lead by the NSTP officers presenting the Colors, muse and escort of every department carrying their banners, followed by their athletes, dancers, faculty, and other representatives on each contests. At their sides, we also lined up, so we could easily monitor them while the parade proceeds under the blazing heat of the sun.

On a single line, each of the students were guided by the officers to avoid stampede at the entrance and were lead to their department's area. The students were excited but it took time for them to get inside.

Showing off their Jersey Uniforms, the heat of the sun wasn't a problem just to proudly represent their Departments. And yes, these students wearing pair of jersey in violet and white represents our department, the BSIS!

As soon as all of the students had settled inside the center, the program started. The Color Guards marched to the front carrying the flags for the singing of the National Anthem. A few remarks from the Dean after that, then the Foundation Week was finally opened.

The first to show off the representatives of each Departments wearing their respective Jersey Uniforms as it was evaluated by the judges to which would have the best Jersey. The first win of the week went to us, buena mano! After that was the Mass Dance Competition, and all of the departments sent their dancers to perform. At the second competition, we still have acquired the trophy of champions. It's the Second Win for the week.

Other Activities and Booths

The Teachers Education Department has a lot in their plate to offer. They have an booth for an art exhibit, and displaying their achievements in accomplishing the best thesis, awards, certificates, and trophies. On the second floor, they have a haunted house, Math City with an exciting math games on the next building, and they also sell foods and drinks.

The other departments were showcasing their crafts also, like miniature buildings of the Industrial Technology students and Business Education students showing off their sales pitch to gain more customers in their booth.

On the other lies our booth, yet you can't any student making some digital art or programming on their laptops, instead, just a bunch of students queuing to pass their Prospectus to apply for Dean's list and trying to get the signatures of the officers on their booklets. We also have games but it wasn't that fun. It seems that the whole department's focus was to win every contests not to beautify the booth or make an exhibit.

Sports and Pageant

The volleyball team did their best but we can't compete enough with Sir @huntersmoon 's team. At the end of the game, they won 2nd place but the Basketball Team made up for it as they were held the Champion and also the Badminton Team. There was also e-sports and they won 2nd place. We won some of the tournaments but I couldn't watch every game since I have other responsibilities.

At the pageant night, all safety, security, and medical teams have collaborated to help the program run smoothly without any delay. At the Closing...

The enemies where as competitive and strong as we were. All have done their best and played their part, but in the end, we were the announced as the Overall Champion. Why can't I be so proud and happy? The best thing about this aside from the championship was the incentives given by the Instructors because we won. Most of our Instructors gave all of the participants plus points in their grades and since I'm a Medic, I was given, too. How nice!

Though they're enemies in the court, we're still friends with the other department after the games. We congratulate each other and they're happy for us. It's nice to win the awards but I think you're also winning when you gained friends during the game and contests.
