Life in our Province (Finally got the chance to do this again)

in Hive PH2 years ago

Good morning everyone. Happy Thursday to all. Now is my day off from work and I decided to go home back to our province to somehow relax from the stress that I got from work. Early this morning my friends and I decided to do what we love most every time we are in our province. It is to go net fishing and eat it after catching it.

A net used for fishing is called a fishing net. Fibers are woven into a grid-like structure to create nets, which are objects. Fish traps are another name for a few types of fishing nets, like fyke nets. Typically, fishing nets are made of meshes created by knotting a thin thread. In the beginning, grasses, flax, and other fiber plant materials were used to weave nets. Cotton was utilized afterward. Although nets made of organic polyamides like wool or silk thread were widespread until recently and are still used, modern nets are mostly constructed of artificial polyamides like nylon.

My role on this is to have some stones ready while waiting for my friend to finish the setup for the net. Basically what we're doing is we lure fish into our nets. We throw stones at them for them to run through our fishing net. We have been doing this since then and this is the first time from two for us to get to do this again.

After how many rounds of catching fish, we decided to stop and eat our breakfast by the sea. We cleaned the fish and sliced it into small pieces. This dish is called "Kinilaw". What we're doing is eating it raw while it is still fresh and just adding some salt and vinegar to it for added flavor.

That is it for now everyone. I will update you on the next food trip that we will be doing while on a day off. As of this moment, we are planning to buy "tuba" coconut wine and talk while having a drink to catch up about each other's lives. Thank you for reading and TARA INOM!

Sort:

Kinilaw must be very similar to a South American dish called ceviche, which is fresh raw fish in small cubes with salt and lemon, and other seasonings such as onion and coriander.

Yes. That is it. We forgot to bring onions and lemons. it would have been better if we had those ingredients.
