Balloons popping in gold and white, bloggers enthusiastically making the designs on the wall - decorating here and there, laughter and some jokes filling the air, a chitchat (and kumustahan) on top of a soft jolly Christmas song on the background were what I should say, the perfect start of our merry Hive Christmas Party solely for Cebu Hive Bloggers! It was an explosion of festive energy, to begin with!
The Christmas party was a blast! It was full of fun, exciting games with awesome prices, scrumptious food for our lunch, a cozy venue, a thrilling and entertaining exchange of gifts, the exchange of laughter, and the impromptu Christmas presentation! Oh my God, it was one of the most unforgettable Christmas celebrations that brought joy and smiles to all!
Through the exceptional leadership and organizational prowess of @indayclara backed up by the strong support of @ybanezkim26 and @intoybugoy, amazingly we were able to pull out our first-ever Hive Christmas Party in Cebu! Many wonderful things happened, and I am more than excited to share them with you today!
Yeaaaayyy!!!! ( Insert our ) Jolly Cheeerrrsss!!!
December 26, 2023, Tuesday our first ever Christmas Hive Party for Cebu Bloggers took place in the beautiful and secluded Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort of Sogod, Cebu.
The party started at 10:00 to give ample time and consideration for bloggers to arrive at the place since the venue is in the remote and secluded corner of Sogod, Cebu, and also for the organizers to set up and prepare everything. Upon arrival, a welcoming registration was waiting for every participant. Each of us received our name tags with our username on it and our code name discretely written on the back.
The radiant sun and the sound of waves hitting the cliff made the whole atmosphere exuberant. I know and I could feel that everyone is so excited for this party, and we have been looking forward to this even before our Christmas Break came in! In fact, I found myself more thrilled about our Hive party compared to our teacher’s party in school! Haha! Well, who would not be? It’s a blessing to find like-minded people who share the same passion and goal.
Party, Party!
There was a slight change in the program, instead of Ciadenmea being the emcee, I became the host because she had an emergency. For the opening, it was @ybanezkim26 who expressed his warm words and greetings to everyone. The party ran smoothly and was even livelier when participants were given the chance to showcase their Hawaiin attire in front of everyone. The graceful and always jolly @indayclara led the showdown and showed everyone how to flaunt our Tropic attire! Her energy was contagious as she led the showcase making it a fun and spirited kick-off of our Christmas Party!
Everyone was very participative as they enthusiastically involved themselves in the celebration!
Let the game begin!
The jolliest part of any Christmas program is of course the Games be it played individually or by a team. Our active Hive bloggers and Game Masters had prepared all the games for us! In this part, everyone was eager to join and secure victory because the prices that awaited were none other than the HIVE, OCD and HivePH t-shirts! The desire to win and claim those stylish T-shirts was palpable. Haha. Like who would not want to own one?
The game started with the blowing of Pingpong Balls that was played by two players. For round one, it was hanyabee who won and the second round was aced by missbebeth.
There was also a YES and No Game, where players would just jump to their right or left depending on the instruction of the game. This game was very simple yet everyone was having fun and was very serious about winning the game! Haha
A sitting game then brought laughter and hilarity to the celebration where all players circled the chairs and danced, and when the music stopped, they would race who to sit on the chair first! We laughed so hard in this part of the game because @indayclara joined just to mess with everyone. Hahaha! And as you could see at the end bloggers were playing it seriously ending them stealing one chair from the other! hahaha!

Food food food!
The party wouldn’t be complete without the delicious foods. For our party, we opted for catering services for convenience on our part. Indayclara made sure to order and add some extra food since some of our bloggers brought along their plus ones. It was a happy and lovely sight to see the families and kids of our fellow bloggers. Our team had an instant growth! I think this is a heartwarming testament that our Hive Community is growing!
After we had our lunch, we continued our party right away. We then started our impromptu Christmas Presentation! There was a team of four and thankfully our team won! Yeaaaayyy!!! I got an OCD T-shirt as my price!
After the program, the party continued with fellow bloggers enjoying the pool of the resort!
It was a day filled with happiness and the true spirit of Christmas! I am forever thankful and grateful for this opportunity to meet incredible people! Thanks to Hive for bringing us together. And yes, to @indayclara who has been our Queen Bee, to sir @Ybanezkim26 for always being supportive and generous to all of us, and to sir @intoybugoy who is also very active and present, and to all the Hive Bloggers in Cebu, Philippines - together, you all made this celebration special and memorable!
Lastly, thanks to Hive for this wonderful opportunity with amazing people!
