First of all, I want to greet the Hive PH community for reaching such a milestone, there have been lots of ups and downs that happened but still, Hive PH stands and kicks. I know I'm not an original member of the community but I'm so happy to be part of it, I witness how kind admins are among its members.
In lieu of celebration, there was a blogging contest made by admin and there's a series of questions a member can choose and answer in accordance to their will. I participate in the contest since I find it fun and also I wanna share my experience of being a member of the Hive PH community.
How is Hive PH and how do you feel about being a member of this community?
Hive is the first community I've ever had, it's the first community I posted my introductory post and was curated, I am happy to be part of the community cause it welcomes me and shelters me when I was lost in the vast space of Hive. First-timer being a blogger here on Hive isn't easy, I don't understand things around me, especially the ecosystem but Hive PH members explain to me during onboarding.
The memories of onboarding are still fresh to me cause it's my first step to becoming part of Hive. I met a lot of people especially my co-users on another blogging platform. Honestly, I'm not new at blogging, I've been writing for almost 3 years but not those formal writings, I made a lot of articles about life, science, stories, personal experience, etc. However, everything changed when I joined Hive, my writing improved since a lot of techniques were introduced by old users that will help us make better posts.
What benefits do you get from being a member?
I love being part of Hive PH since it gave me a lot of benefits, one of which is, it's a Filipino community in which everything can be posted. A lot of my post was in Hive PH since I'm comfortable that I didn't post them on the wrong community.
Another thing is, Hive PH appreciates me a lot, even if I'm just an ordinary user still they curate my post. Sometimes I feel sad because my post was never been liked and curated for 12 hours but suddenly I see on my notification that I was voted by Hive PH and users along its trail, which made me happy and feel motivated to write more.
Do you think you will stay in the community for a long time?
Definitely yes, I will stay no matter what will happen, it became part of my journey and we should always remember to look back no matter how far we reach, we should always be thankful for those things that shaped us to be better. Hive PH became one of the instruments to become who we are right now that's why it is worth staying until last.
I am happy to become part of Hive PH, it became my family even though I became inactive for months still I never forget to respect Hive PH in fact I always included it on my post since I always do it from the start.
My message to admins is, thank you for everything you've done, you've built a wonderful community which everyone is welcome, you didn't criticize any kind of post no matter if it's personal or full of nonsense. May we last for years and I hope we can gain more members in future.
