In today's blog I will attempt traditional art and use it as my entry for Week 3 and I'm doing it while Maru the beagle is sleeping because I can't do anything at all when he is awake because he is a very stubborn and naughty pupper and he'll just create trouble while I'm sketching.
..and I'm gonna use this folding laptop table as my drawing table for now while babysitting the sleeping beagle.lol.
And the other materials I'll be needing are vellum board but unfortunately I'm out of stock so I'll just use a short bond paper, my favorite kneaded eraser where I can use to lighten some areas without spreading all the excess graphite all over the place and plus you can play with it like clay when boredom strikes, 3H,2B and 8B pencils,a large soft brush,a small paint brush, paper tape and an excess piece of clean paper.

This is my reference..
I use Ein as my reference..She is no longer with us anymore. She succumb to illness and old age. It's been 33 days since she left but my heart is still heartbroken until now..but I want to treasure all the memories so I'll draw her a picture when she is still striving like a puppy and full of energy.
First I tape my bond paper to secure it to the folding table to prevent unnecessary movements when I'm drawing then I sketch the shapes and line art using 3Hpencil and clean all excessive lines using kneaded eraser.
I used 3H first then 2B and 8B last in circular lighter stroke to achieve the super dark graphite color of the eyes and nose.
I use a piece of paper so I won't ruin my sketch by my sweaty hands.
I use 3H in lighter area, 2B in shadows and darker shade and 8 B for the darkest mark.Then I use the smaller paint brush to spread the graphite to fill all the white spots.
I used large soft brush to clean my drawing and to create a very light shade.
This is now the final art .I want to add more shades and details....and make some corrections but Maru the Beagle is already awake and making Aruuuuuuu!! noises and the neighbor from below us (We live at 7th floor) is starting to get angry so Let's leave it like that.
Thank Goodness there's a extra picture frame in my Mom's drawer so I beg her to just give it to me and she said yes but I need to replace it because she will use it to frame grandma and grandpa's picture if ever she found one..( There's a super old pictures of them together but it's in black and white and super blurry).
I pick this prompt to honour Ein because I lose count on how many times she saved me from myself.She is my hero. When my mom had an severe heart attack and I am the only one who's in charge in everything.. My Beloved help me with the financial stuff so he needed to work while I'm in the hospital to take care of my mom and I can only go back home every other two days to feed Ein and clean all the dirty laundry we used at the hospital...then the doctor will get angry because I leave my patient alone for 3 hours..I can't sleep for long, can't take a shower and can't take a break for two weeks. Then another 2 months in the hospital and 2 months at home where is my mom is still bedridden and stubborn....and depression is slowly eating me and I started to unconsciously hurting myself..Ein always bark at me and making a lot of incomprehensible sounds in front of me..then proceed to lick me and shake hands..those small gestures from Ein always makes all my bad thoughts vanished instantly... I can say thanks to Ein that I'm a little stronger now..
Ein babysitting whenever Maru is Howling and crying a lot..
Goodbye Ein.. I will do my best to take care of Maru..Thank you for everything.

I also have this dog picture that soon I want to give it to some artist to draw me a portrait, di kasi clear. She was my first bestfren dog and I really loved her. Kapag May budget na I want to make some memory portrait.
Good choice itong dog mo. Magandang remembrance itong tribute mo sa kanya at buti pinayagan ka idisplay sya at gamitin yung frame na natira. Worth it naman at bumagay sa mga display ng wall nyo. Yan ang art na di ko pa natry kahit nung dating traditional drawing ang ginagawa ko. Ganyan pala ang technique para painisin ang portrait. May brush. Kudos.
Medyo di pa nga siya Pulido kaso nag ingay na si Maru.. kaya mas Madalas sa digital Ako kase cp lang ililigpit pag kailangang ihinto muna pagdrawing. Tas iyung mga ibang display puro drawing ko lang din.
