Hello, Hivers! I want to tell everybody about that time me and my mother went to Taiwan and we got to see and experience many different kinds of things!

Unlike my mother, it was my first time traveling to a foreign country, so everything was very new and exciting to me!

ARRIVAL

We arrived at Taichung airport at night so we went to Taichung City to sleep for the night in a hotel. Then we had breakfast and went straight for the road to Taipei City.

On our way to Taipei City, we stopped to have lunch at a restaurant beside a castle, which I couldn't take pictures of because we were too hungry and got too focused on all the delicious food that they served there.

TAIPEI CITY

After a long journey, we finally arrived at our first destination in Taipei City, and it was none other than the iconic Taipei 101 building. The moment we stepped out of the bus, we were amazed by the sheer size of the building. At such a close distance, it looked even more monumental and intimidating, almost like a giant sentinel guarding the city. Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the building due to our packed schedule, but just standing outside and soaking in the view was an experience in itself.

This picture is a view from the top of the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and in the distance, you can see two towering buildings known as the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center.

STREET FOOD

After checking in at our hotel for the night, we went out to eat street food. We bought all kinds of food, but one that left a lasting impression on me was the Xiaolongbao. It was very tasty and it was also my first time trying it, which made the experience even better for me.

YEHLIU GEOPARK

We then went to see rock formations at Yehliu Geo Park.
We looked at many rock formations in the geopark, and all of them looked very interesting just like this rock that I thought looked like a big piece of bread, we also had a great view of the sea there.

I can say that my recent trip to Taiwan was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From the bustling night markets to the serene temples, every moment of the journey was filled with wonder and excitement. I was fascinated by the country's rich culture and history, and I was fortunate enough to visit a number of its iconic landmarks, such as Taipei 101 and the Chiang Kai Shek Museum, I am already looking forward to my next visit to Taiwan, where I hope to delve deeper into the country's hidden treasures and create even more unforgettable memories.

I hope everybody liked the places and things I've shown today, and I'll see everybody next time!
Ad astra abyssosque!

My mom used to be an OFW in Taiwan as a caregiver. I wanted to bring her back there but as a tourist. Although I'm not sure if there would be other better destinations. Some say that the locals don't speak much English, and given that my mom is senior now, might need to consider the itinerary (should be chill, not too much walking). Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience in Taiwan!
