Good day, Hivers! How are you?. It's me again, Dehai, Co-Hivers. Today I want to promote the local Tourist Spot in our town. The Lapyahan sa San Remigio. But before that let may tell you a short description of our municipality.
San Remigio is a third-class municipality located in the Northern Part of Cebu. According to the legend or history, the town before was named Kanghagas, a kind of tree, and later it was named, San Remigio. The name came from the Datu named Remigio Multon, the leader of a certain Balangay who fought against the colonizer. To recognize his bravery and leadership, the balangay was named after him. San Remigio is a peaceful municipality with 27 barangays and a population of more or less 65,000 based on the census 2020. From Cebu City, you will ride a bus or the so-called black taxi with a fare of 250 pesos to 300. pesos. Farming and Fishing are the usual livelihoods or sources of living of the native San Remigiohanons.
The town is known for many beaches because of its white fine sand and long and wide shoreline. It has a public space or shoreline intended for people who want to enjoy swimming and relaxing on the beach and can't afford to visit private beaches in town. This public place/shoreline or beach is the Lapyahan Sa San Remigio, owned and maintained by the municipality. Lapyahan is a perfect place to unwind with your family and friends. Many people would love to visit this place every weekend. Its cottages, table, and chair are very affordable. It ranges from 50 pesos to 350.00 pesos only. Since the shoreline is wide and long, you can bring your own tent especially if you have a plan for night swimming.
The Beach has already its new improvements like the comfort rooms being renovated to meet the demands of the guest. To enjoy much in swimming, you can rent a Banana Boat Ride to take you around the beach. Unlike before, it is now very clean and well-maintained by the assigned personnel of the municipality. The Beach is situated at the back of San Juan Nepomuceno Church, the oldest church in town. You can park your car there since there is no parking space at the entrance of Lapyahan. Besides are sari-sari stores and restaurants where you can buy some food and drinks.
I'm sure you would love to enjoy swimming while enjoying the fresh sea breeze at the beach. So what are you waiting for? This Christmas Season is a perfect time to celebrate and unwind with your family. So instead of going to expensive beaches, Lapyahanis a Perfect one.

Lapyahan is just a 3 minute walk from my hut! 😂 Currently, there are a lot of food stalls and activities during weekends. The place were filled with locals - families and friends alike. Some were drinking too. I ended up buying barbeque for dinner!

It is so good to spend quality time unwinding in a beautiful place like this, when I want to unwind, I just spend some time with my family and I sleep very well too since I don't get a lot of that everyday, not forgetting to watch a good movie.
