Hello Happy Easter everyone! How's your Holy week? Well, For all Christians, Holy Week is a time of repentance, prayer, and reflection of ourselves. It is our strong devotion to the Passion of Jesus Christ. It falls between the palm of Sunday and Easter Sunday. It is a celebration of God's great deeds for his People. As Christians, we celebrate this one. It's up to us how we give value to this holy season. During this week we have many practices done as part of our devotion repentance and prayer. So in this blog, I will share with you how we celebrated the Maundy Thursday.
It's a yearly activity in every holy week of the BCBP Community to have our confession and way of the Cross. This time we had a way of the Cross or station of the Cross at Capelinha de Fatima Replica at Tacup, San Remigio, Cebu. This church is known to be one of the province's most holy and sacred churches. Many devotees would love to visit this church to pray through the intercession of the blessed Saint Fatima from Portugal.
This was my first time doing the way of the cross. Since there were (14) fourteen stations, my husband was assigned to the second station and I was assigned to the third station which is "Jesus falls for the first time". While reading and praying every station, I had a lot of reflection on my life. One of which is the value of our family and raising a family having Christ is the center, being generous, being calm, and a lot more. Even if the sun's heat is scorching in our skins we never mind it. We sacrificed for it was our way of devotion and repentance.
After our way of the cross, other members had their confession and after that, we had our together lunch. But my husband and I went home hurriedly for we will be having our Visita Iglesia together with my sister after lunch.
