On September 30, 2025, at approximately 9:59 p.m., a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck our province, with the epicenter located in Bogo City, the nearest town to our municipality of San Remigio. Together with my youngest child, I was sleeping when the 6.9 magnitude struck our town. I suddenly woke up and I felt the shaking and trembling of my house during that time. It was very strong. I was shocked. I did not go out in our room together with my daughter instead I hid under the bed and instructed my daughter to hide too. There was no light and I heard my husband calling and shouting for us to go outside. When I went out something blocked my way. It was my large bag of clothes that fell. I find my way to go out. I looked at the room of my two children who are now outside the room and I saw their closet had already fallen. As I went to the sala many were scattered. My husband told me" Let's go outside it's an earthquake. It was very strong. Then I called my youngest daughter to get out the bed who was hiding. As I went out I saw my brothers and sisters and my two children crying and kneeling down in the middle cornfield. Now I realize that thanks to God that I'm safe. I thought that my house was damaged because the earthquake was very strong. My daughter and I were inside the room, what if the house fell down maybe we could not survive since we were in the middle of our room. But I know God protected us because we prayed before sleeping to keep us safe from harm and danger. There were many aftershocks, the earth continued to shake, we got trauma because now and then we could feel the shaking, roaring of the earth's surface, or the ground. We slept in the middle of the cornfield. Our house is no longer safe because of cracks. We thought that it was the end of the world. Early morning we heard news, many died and were injured. Many houses and buildings and schools collapsed. Roads and Bridges were damaged. The earthquake brought so much damage to our town and the neighboring town. It was a very terrible incident. Until this time the aftershock continues and it has already had more than 6, 000.00 aftershocks. We continue sleeping outside. Others were receiving relief goods already while my family's who were not on the highway haven't received donations No electricity, no water, no food because we are unprepared. Establishments were closed. The first donations I received were from @indayclara and hiveph. We're very thankful to her because we already have lights, a tent, groceries, and many more. I'm also thankful to our Almighty Father for keeping us safe during this calamity. We know that we can survive this and rise again with the help of concerned citizens all over the country.
