Community Spending
Community income will be split according to community fund, staff rewards, and community events (50/30/20) for the next month. We have a deficit for this month's sponsorship of community events so funds are going to be pulled out for next month's numbers.
Expect a marked decrease from the community event rewards. We recently spent around 86.3 HBD for this cause which has been part of the long term community goals. Not everyone gets those benefits because cash has to be taken from somewhere.
It's also going to set us back from the 450 HBD goal previously mentioned right here
Delegations
A portion of the delegator's rewards are directed to the community fund. Even when delegators are not actively funding some charity work, HivePH is using those funds in behalf for them as a community effort. So consider delegating if you want to support the growth of Filipinos on the platform and the charity drives the community does.
In a simplified version, you can earn more HP if you keep the stake to yourself than have it borrowed by the community account. The downside is waiting for 13 weeks to fully access those earned HP. Delegating for rewards reduces your earning for a few percent less but you get access to liquid Hive daily.
This means when the market is up or down, you can spend your tokens however you please and take advantage of the market conditions. This is all available while staked in.
I removed some inactive members and removed the member roles for some users on the server. Please refer to this announcement in the past. Everyone had a fair chance to change.
Pruning the Server:
Members with the guest/bisita roles will be kicked from the server at random. There is no exact number how many would be booted off but the criteria:
Someone that has spent a lot time on the server without conversing for months.
Nothing significant done for the community.
You can interpret the above lines anyway you want. If you’re inactive on the server, you get kicked off and your chances of being it is increased if you haven’t got any merit to show for. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time and maybe make it a monthly routine. Of course, anyone who isn’t event active in the community would probably not see this message but I think it’s fair game to have an announcement prior to the event. Using the #voteme channel doesn’t count as activity.
It’s a kick and not a ban. I think it's fair if the name gets removed if we haven't heard from you in months. This means users can come back again if they want.
