Despite all the challenges that came into our lives, we still feel very blessed. Yesterday, my father bought materials to fix our house that was damaged by the earthquake last September 30. It took a long time to repair because we didn’t have the budget. Now that my father has saved a little, he used his savings to buy materials for the house.

This was our house after the earthquake, and now my father wants to repair it. He removed the upper part and replaced it with marine plywood. Before, our floor was made of bamboo, but my father changed it to marine plywood because he was having difficulty finding good bamboo and had no one to help him gather it.

There’s really a lot that needs to be repaired in our house since the earthquake damaged it badly, and it was also hit by a typhoon.

This is my father—he is the only one repairing our house because we don’t have the budget to hire someone. Luckily, he had a 3-day vacation from work because of a special holiday, so he spent his time fixing our small house.

The damage was quite big. While I was taking pictures of the parts he needed to tear down and replace, I became emotional because that house took many years to build, and in just one earthquake, it was destroyed. But still, I’m grateful because even if the repair is delayed due to budget limitations, at least my father is able to fix it slowly and make it look better again. As of now, the repairs are not fully done. I think it will take a few more weeks since he is doing everything by himself. And if you’re wondering why only weeks, it’s because he’s not building a mansion—he just wants to make sure we have a place to sleep and a safe shelter, especially now that it's the rainy season.

I’m really thankful to the Lord because our house is finally being repaired little by little.
I'm happy po that you're recovering this time..I pray that soon everything will be back into normal
