Finding My Flow: My 5-Month Yoga Journey

It’s been about five months since I first rolled out my yoga mat and began this journey — not perfectly consistent, but definitely heartfelt. My yoga practice has been on and off, but even with that, I’ve noticed how much I’ve grown, both physically and mentally. When I first started, every pose felt like a challenge. My arms trembled during planks, my balance wobbled in tree pose, and I could barely hold a headstand without collapsing in a heap of laughter. But somewhere along the way, something shifted.

These days, I find myself actually looking forward to my yoga sessions. What used to feel like a struggle now feels like a grounding ritual. I’ve noticed that my body has become more familiar with the flow — I don’t feel as sore after each session anymore, and my muscles seem to recover faster. It’s a small but meaningful reminder that consistency, even in small doses, can make a big difference.

One of the biggest milestones for me is being able to hold a headstand longer. I remember how intimidating that pose looked at first. The idea of balancing upside down felt almost impossible. But through patience, practice, and a few not-so-graceful attempts, I’ve learned to trust my body more. That feeling of stability — of being upside down yet completely in control — is incredibly empowering.

Beyond the physical progress, yoga has also helped calm my mind. The breathing exercises and mindfulness during practice have taught me to slow down, especially on stressful days. I’m learning to appreciate where I am, rather than rush to where I want to be.

My yoga journey is still unfolding, and I know I have a long way to go. But right now, I’m simply proud of how far I’ve come — of every pose, every breath, and every quiet moment on the mat that’s teaching me to find balance, both inside and out.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

I love hot yoga. Was doing it several years ago, but never attempted a headstand. LOL

Wow. Amazing specially when you can hold headstand longer. Hoping so for a yoga session here nearby hehe.

Yoga is really amazing. It helps you stay on ground and train your mind to focus.
Continue doing it and you'll love the results.

I ALWAYS want to do yoga because it is both good to the body, mind and spirit. This a good exercise for me.
