Best of luck, and I hope you enjoyed the experience despite the hardships!
I was at IT Park 2 months ago and landed a position that was hard to pass up. The compensation was good, benefits were awesome, but I got cold feet three days before the contract signing and backed out after working with them for 2 weeks. I guess I wasn't cut out for the 9-5 life, unless the 9 refers to the number of hours I spend debating whether to stay or leave. 🤣
My story is a bit different since I've been working from home for 14 years already. I was lured by the shiny benefits without stopping to ask myself if I was ready to give up working in pajamas. Turns out, corporate life and I are like oil and water... I'm too stubborn to conform and tiptoe around policies I find unnecessary. Imagine a cat being forced to wear a leash— di ko bagay
That being said, your experience reminds me of my early days.
I started in BPO years ago with @itravelrox as a market researcher. That's what built my communication skills. I was 16, and I got in with 35 others out of 300+ at the job fair. I didn't eat lunch for fear my name might be called and I'd miss it. Gi pasmo ko pag uli lol, wa gani jud ko nangihi
It was an entire day of struggle, but it was life-defining. I am hoping that yours will be too! Make it harder, Lord, kay the harder it is the stronger you'll be. And the stronger you are, the easier things will be in the long term.
I hope you'll find your calling, and once you do, pls don't forget the joy of Hiving. Tell us more about your day-to-day. Best wishes!
