Discovering Art: Exploring Abstract Expressions Together

Hello, members of the community! Today I'm thrilled to explore the world of Appreciating Art with all of you. As we start this adventure I can't wait to share my journey, with you—the moments I've spent immersing myself in non representational and abstract art. These forms of art go beyond a glance; they require an understanding of the emotions, sentiments and ideas interwoven into each brushstroke and color.

It's not just about what you see at glance but about delving into the heart of the artwork to reveal its core and significance. Through my experiences I've grown to admire the layers of expression these art forms hold each piece encouraging us to interpret and connect with it in our own way. So lets embark, on this adventure together as we uncover the beauty and complexity found in representational and abstract art.

On a Tuesday afternoon, following our lunch break at 1 pm, our art appreciation class began with our teacher guiding us through the process of creating abstract art. With a hint of humor, he quipped that abstract art was for those lacking drawing skills. Our laughter filled the room, as we realized this was our opportunity to unleash our creativity and showcase our unique artistic expressions.

When the clock struck the designated time excitement filled the air as every group eagerly grabbed their paintbrushes to embark on their paintings. Before immersing ourselves in the world of expression we gathered closely sharing ideas and dreams. Each team member voiced their opinions igniting conversations, about the aspects we wanted to convey through our art. Ideas varied from portraying the suns warmth and the greenery of grass to creating a backdrop that complemented the overarching theme of our masterpiece.

When we began painting, I went to check out what another group was up to. To my surprise, they weren't using brushes like us; instead, they were dipping their hands into the paint and smearing it across the canvas. They explained that it represented their hard work because, in our IT course, we spend a lot of time typing and coding, tasks that require our hands. It made me think about how important our hands are for the work we do. It also reminded me that as IT students, we need to use both our hands and our eyes to tackle challenges.

When we think back to what our teacher said, we realize how important our eyes are. They're like windows that let us see the beauty in art and the world. To take care of them, we need to eat foods that keep our eyesight sharp and clear.

Some groups decided to paint like the ocean and land in their art, making it look more like real life. But there were also groups who kept it simple, just using lines to make their art. When I went to see another group, I found out they were making their art without planning it first. They just started drawing whatever came to mind, without worrying about how it would turn out. And you know what? It ended up looking pretty good.

Abstract art is like a big hug for your feelings. If it makes you happy, go ahead and create with joy. Making art this way can be like a magic wand, helping you shake off stress from work or school. For me, looking at art is like taking a deep breath; it calms me down when life gets too crazy.

If things are tough, try stepping outside and enjoying the beauty of nature. Just taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air can work wonders. And remember, sometimes the answers to our problems come when we least expect them. Keep believing in God's plan; everything falls into place eventually.

After an hour passed, it was finally my turn to start painting. I felt excited to express my feelings through art. I never expected that a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology course would include such a creative subject. As I kept painting, I got closer to finishing our artwork. We named it 'The Beginning and The End' because it shows that starting with our dreams can lead to a happy ending.

If you had to rate our art from 1 to 10, what would it be? Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope our artwork brings you some peace and helps you let go of any stress you may be feeling. Have a great day!
