Tucked away in the verdant hills of Benguet, Tublay provides a serene retreat from the fast-paced urban lifestyle. Boasting stunning scenery, unspoiled natural surroundings, and a deep cultural legacy, this delightful municipality is a well-kept secret that deserves a spot on any adventurer's itinerary.
The previous vice mayor of Tublay, who was once the leader of the Polig family, owned a vast estate spanning 13 hectares. Within this expansive property, a significant portion of seven hectares has been transformed into a thriving berry farm. Additionally, the estate boasts the largest kettle in the vicinity, known as "takure", which has become a renowned attraction for both locals and tourists. However, there is an improvement in terms of amenities to enhance the overall visitor experience. Adults are required to pay Php 100 as entrance fees, while children are charged Php 80.
Once we paid the entrance fee, we took our time exploring the vast farm. We began at the highest point, where we could see just how expansive the farm tourism site really is.
Polig's Farm offers a delightful experience for the entire family to enjoy throughout the day. It provides numerous activities that both parents and children can partake in together, including the delightful adventure of picking wild berries. Additionally, children's park is another highlight that captivates the attention of the young ones and it brings immense joy to parents as they witness the radiant smiles on their children's face.
During our visit, we saw a variety of wild being grown, including blueberries, wild white mulberries, medinilla pendula, and others. These fruits are known for their high antioxidant content, making them beneficial for one's health.
The farm is also home to a cafe that offers delectable organic cuisine and it also provides an ideal setting to relax and treat oneself to a nourishing meal.
A trip to Polig's Farm offers a valuable and fulfilling encounter. It presents a chance to reestablish a connection with nature, acquire a profound comprehension of our intricate systems, and acknowledge the immense effort required to sustain life. This remarkable experience lingers within, subtly molding one's outlook on life and their position in the world.
