HPUD, Expanding my Content Creation Goals and Milestones

*Creating content is fun, but it can also be tough especially if one runs into a bad case of writer's block. So I just take it easy and try to be as chill as possible when I write and publish here.

I'm still here...

Hello Hiveans! It's nice to be back and participating in the monthly Hive Power Up Day event, which we have been doing for a long time already. With the recent downtrend in Hive price, I'd like to power up, accumulate and delegate (PAD) more to accounts that will bring in the best value in returns to offset the reduction of my Hive / Hive Engine Token holdings. Of course, there is that option of cashing out and investing in BTC, but I'd rather stay active here on the Hive ecosystem because BTC does not have a well-developed blogging platform, or is there?. 😅 And to be honest, I quite enjoy all the blockchain drama happening in our communities from time to time. I do hold BTC and believe it to be the gold standard when it comes to holding value and growth so I will just buy and hold BTC for a couple of years until I retire, need the money or to take profit at strategic times in bull seasons for another round of reinvesting into Hive or some of the other juicy options to get into once the bear market hits rock bottom again.

Then, repeat... I guess once Hive goes up in one of the alt seasons, we would have to cash out some, I mean profit taking IS part of the game we play. How much to take profit is the million dollar question $$$. 🤑🤑🤑

Growth Through Content Creation in Another Community

Moving forward, I'd like to be able to publish blogposts in other communities on a regular basis to expand my content's reach, so I'm adding this as an extra goal for me in the coming weeks. For those of you who've visited and read my blog posts before, I have this goal of publishing at least 2 blogs a week as a baseline metric in my content creation strategy. Having to publish another would mean 3 blog posts per week or 12 in a month.

*I've been able to reach my posting goal for the previous two months so I'm gonna try to increase and see what happens.

I've seen people publish every day so why don't I? The simple answer to this is that everyone has a different rhythm to writing and publishing posts. For me, this is the most comfortable so why stress myself by trying to do more than what I enjoy doing, right? I do want to increase my posting frequency so I'm going to try for more as I was able to complete the task in the last two months since I've been keeping tabs on this very important metric.

Milestones

For today's edition of HPUD, I decided to power up 50 liquid Hive from my wallet and stake it to increase my total HP to 2451.28 HP, which isn't that much, but it does add up when done regularly. I have this short term goal of powering up 3,000 HP until the end of the year and this month's HPUD will help me get closer to it.

Epilogue

Though I've been on the chain almost every day for almost five years, I've never really considered this as a job, it's more like a hobby because I enjoy being a writer and self-publishing a blog keeps the creative juices flowing. I also like the fact that earning here is "easy". I mean, drafting a blog post can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour, editing/rewriting takes another hour, formatting the final text and images for upload takes about another hour. Let's say that I am writing a long piece that takes three hours, assuming that this is a passably decent piece of writing and some of my Hive friends and curators take notice of it, which then gets a few upvotes. If I earn US$1 from every post, then I can potentially earn a minimum of US$30 at the very least, something that will most likely take one to two years for a newbie content creator to even start earning on traditional social media. It's not much, but it isn't zero either. This is a bonus for me who just loves to write. On the other hand, there are other ways to earn here, if that is really one's goal. Investing on Hive Engine tokens, NFT games, and defi will certainly get you great dividends on investments you make here, especially if you earned the capital from blogging; it's can be a decent source of income for those who would like to use the platform as a "workplace".

And that's it. Thanks for taking the time to visit. Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Love and peace.
