Daydreaming

What would you do if the price of Hive went down to 0.10 cents? Now, that's an interesting question. I was looking at the trading page on the Hivedex site and I suddenly thought about scenarios playing out in my mind, where the price would slowly fall back down to 2020 prices; more specifically the last quarter of 2020 before the bull run when the price rallied above 3 dollars. Those were the days.

Bloggers' Dilemma

Moving along, I've written almost every day for the last seven days. It was a challenge at first, but became easier once I got a rhythm going. I'm actually enjoying since I haven't blogged continuously in a long time. For this reason, I'm afraid of missing a day of putting out content. It's like accelerating in a car, then the stop light ahead changes from green to yellow. Although, my friend's son says that in this situation yellow means to go faster as his mom usually does, slowing down might make me complacent and be satisfied with the one week run that I decide to just watch a movie or go to a nice coffee shop to sample some of their finest cakes and pastries. Then again, I can also do both of those things AND write on my blog.

It's not that difficult to do. In fact, it just takes an hour to produce a decent quality blog post. To make it clear, putting out awesome content has always been the goal and prize of blogging for me. The financial rewards are just the result of the work that I've put into this craft. I'm not saying that earning is not important. Don't get me wrong. I love it when my posts get rewarded, but for me, it isn't the end of the world if my blog post gets zero rewards. As long as I know that I did my best, and that my content stays true to what I believe in, then I'm happy with it. There are other ways to earn in the Hive ecosystem that offsets the lack of blogging rewards if that turns out to be the case.

Quality and Consistency

One thing that we should take note of is the quality of content that bloggers put out. And, in that regard, I am guilty. I am not as consistent as I would have liked in churning out quality content. For me, quality means that I stay true to my niche, whatever that may be. That I proofread the text. That there is a unified message even if I jump from one topic to another. That there is a beginning, a middle, and an end. Of course, this includes the qualities of good writing that can easily be searched and we have been studying in school since we were young. It also has to be relevant to the audience: you. Finally, it has to be credible. Good writing, whether it is fiction or non-fiction, has to be believable. For non-fiction, it has to have evidence to back up what you are saying; better to present relevant data that supports the claims of your writing.

On AI

Doing a quick search, I found out that AI or Artificial Intelligence refers to a group of machine-learning powered technology that can do task that were exclusively done by humans in the past. Activities such as driving, pattern identification, or writing can now be done by non-humans with the use of technology. On a basic level, AI is already prevalent and you may have already encountered using it via song recommendations from an audio streaming service, video recommendations from YouTube, or maybe even while trying to figure out the best route on your GPS app.

There are many factors to consider when looking at AI generated content. What are the copyright laws of a specific country where you are, the terms of use of the AI that you are using, what instructions were given to the AI to the extent that you maintain creative control of a story, maybe even hiring an AI to write a particular story for you - in this case, it is clear that you own the work, what creative commons license type will be attached to the said written work.

Conclusion

For now, I think that the way AI is used in the blogging, or the content creation field in general, gives the technology more ownership of the written work. From what I have observed, humans just type in a topic and let the chat-bot do the work. Human intervention or direction is minimal. So, you can conclude from this scenario that the work was not done by the human, thus making it NOT original content. I may be wrong in my assumptions since I haven't delved deeply into this matter. In that case, please enlighten me. So, what do you think? Should we accept AI generated content here on Hive? Please share your thoughts on this. A healthy discussion produces good results. And, even if we do not agree on everything, knowing the different POVs is a good step in the right direction.

That's it for now. Thanks for dropping by and reading my work. Having conversations about a certain subject matter, controversial as it may be will help us in finding the right course of action.

Love and peace.

When you used AI, don't forget to used your mind also by checking the content made by the AI. Through this, your mind will also exercising and not be dormant.
@juanvegetarian

That's the gist of the issue, I thinks, in the use of AI. How much of your own brain was used in the creation of the content. Thanks for visiting my blog, Maureen. Nice to meet you here. !PIZZA 🍕

Yes. If you always depend on AI , your brain will be dormant and time comes that you will become dependent on technology. @juanvegetarian
