Hello, my dearest Hive Friends. I hope everyone's doing well, especially to my fellow Cebuanos who also experienced Bagyong Tino. We haven't even moved on from the Magnitude 6.9 earthquake and we are still experiencing aftershocks, and now we also experienced Bagyong Tino. My deepest condolences to those who lost some of their family members due to the flashflood.
This is....

Life in the Midst of Bagyong Tino: Before, During, and After the Typhoon
BEFORE THE TYPHOON: THE PREPARATION
During Super Typhoon Yolanda, we lost our homes, especially our roofs, because of the strong winds. Now, we have learned our lessons from our experience, we now tied our roofs with ropes and we have already cut down thebig trees near pur house to keep our family safe from the Typhoon.

This is now our routine every time PAGASA announces that a typhoon will hit us. We can't do anything to stop it because our country is located along the Pacific Ring of Fire. All we can do now is to prepare and pray to the Lord for our safety.
DURING THE TYPHOON: EVACUATE FOR OUR SAFETY
My family and some of our neighbors evacuated at my Uncle's house. During the typhoon I couldn't sleep at all. I was worried about our house and my familys safety.

The wind was so strong and we were all so scared. We were just praying that time because we saw from the internet that someone already died because of the flashflood.
AFTER THE TYPHOON
Thankfully, all of us were safe, but we felt so sad because many people lost their lives. We had no signal at that time so we couldn't contact our family members who were away from us.

After the typhoon, many banana trees had fallen, so we decided to make banana chips, that was the only thing we could think of doing at that time.
I just hope that there will be people who can help my fellow Cebuanos because, as of now, I really can’t offer much help except to share our story and pray for us.
Its truly heartbreaking what you have gone through but your strength and faith really shine through im glad you and your family are safe.. Hoping for quick recovery and better days ahead for all Cebuanos 🙏🏻💪
