Good day my fellow Hivers! How are you these following days? I guess you're all good and living a healthy life. This is me again @kysss sharing you another blog to read. So, On this blog I will share with all of you about the happenings during the Mayor's Cup in our Municipality.

As we all know Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world and one of the most widely viewed. On March 7, 2024 it was the grand opening for the Mayor's Cup in the Municipality of Tabogon and our Barangay or Community is one of the teams who participated in the game. There are a total of 17 teams who joined in the said event or should we say the Basketball league in specific. As a Barangay SK Treasurer they need my presence to attend the said event even though I have school that day, I told my instructor to let me excuse during our meeting.

(These photos were taken by our beloved Mayor)

The grand parade has started at exactly 1:30 pm after all the teams arrived. This is a picture of our team during and after the parade. There are two teams in every barangay which is categorized by age as 18-30 and 40-50 years old, can also be called junior division and senior division. Together with our friends, coaches, staffs, muses, and other teams we walked under the blazing hot sun.

After the parade we went back inside the stadium. As you can see the stadium was full of people supporting for their respective teams. The first thing we do after all the teams arrived inside the stadium was singing our National Anthem. After that our beloved Mayor given us a little speech regarding the rules and regulations. And the players gave their oath of sportsmanship.

Everyone's favorite part. The presentation of the muses in every team. Showcasing their talent, stating their names and which barangay they represent, and lastly their amazing model walk. Our muse was very confident with her modelling walk, very well spoked in introducing her name with a saying and her beliefs, and proudly showcasing her talent which is dancing.

After the introduction of our muse Me and my friend decided to eat outside because my friend haven't eaten lunch yet. Upon strolling outside to find where we will eat we found these store called THE BARISTA'S CAFE which sells milkteas, fries, rice and many more.

My friend ordered rice with CHICHARON BULAKLAK it is a part of pork called masentery that connects the intestines to it's interior abdominal wall. It only costs 109 pesos and I ordered milktea which costs 90 pesos.

After having our lunch we decided to stop by these little food stall who sells different kinds of street foods such as tempura, fishball, hotdogs, squid rolls, kwek-kwek or quail eggs, and Isaw (chicken intestine). They also have other foods which can be seen on the picture above. After buying, we decided to eat inside the stadium the food we bought from the food stall to enjoy the event while eating.

We went back to the stadium and the muses had finished their introductions. After the muses done showcasing their talents the next one who will represent were the teams. It could be dancing or introducing their teams yell. Most teams decided to dance. Other teams didn't dance but they still have stood In front so the judges can judge their uniforms.

When all the teams finished their presentation the judges announced the best muse, best in uniform, best in talent (muses and for the teams). The winners were awarded by our Mayor together with the barangay captains of each barangay. After giving of the awards the event has come to it's end with the closing remarks spoken by one of the officials and thus stating that the long awaited Mayor's cup basketball tournament has officially started!

The event lasted until 5pm and our Barangay Captain decided to go home after the event.

Before I end these blog of mine I wanna share that our team under the junior category's first match was victorious last saturday against the other team of Barangay Tabogon with a short lead of only 5 points. And our team under senior category who fought against Barangay Combado yesterday has succeeded with a high score gap of 22 points. So, that's all for today I hoped you enjoyed reading my blog.
