My son looks cute right?

Don't get fooled! He was actually climbing up at our headboard.

This is the area where he is climbing and holding at the bed fence. If I saw him a little bit late, he might have fallen down already. As I read, once the child falls twice as his, that's already dangerous.

Our bed frame was only bought from a neighbor and I haven't foreseen this scene. That was before Caleb was born and we are at the stage of accepting we wouldn't be blessed.

However, I think it's normal to realize some mistakes once already in the situation right?

One thing I am only thankful for was, he would wake me up once he was awake. Also since I became a Mom, I could easily wake up. Hearing my son cry my eyes would automatically open.

BUT, it was still dangerous. Imagine sitting on the throne letting go of the call of nature then here comes Caleb climbing up again? It was frustrating, I'll tell you.

Shoppee to the rescue.

Is there anything we couldn't buy online now?

I ordered a bedhead cushion just to elevate our headboard even though I am aware 98% it won't fit. Not unless I get rid of the frame or buy a new one.
Since the seller is overseas, it takes a week before it is delivered.

It was a huge parcel and of course Caleb was so nosey and curious. He won't leave and wants to get involved.

I even found it hard to cut the packaging open as he was there standing. One wrong move and an accident might happen.

The item was actually worth the price. Soft looks, the quality is okay and easy to install. There was a garter at the back.

Still my son is with me as I couldn;t leave him on the floor and he won't like it. Why not let others take care of him? Sometimes if needed I left him to my sister in law for a while. Thus as long as I can't I don't because I know how naughty he is .

As I anticipated, it didn't fit since the headboard was too low. Also at the side area the covers won't get through because of the bed fence.

What now?

This time I needed help. I called my brother-in-law so he would put on a screw . Yes at the cushion covers so it would pull back on the wall. He was hesitant at first as it might get damaged but it's okay. The goal is Caleb must be safe.

This is how it looks now. So far, it helps but still my son would climb up at the bed fence 😂. At least he could't go up yet.

Others might notice and ask, "Aren't you changing bed covers?" Of course I do but here is a tip from a first time Mom. I used only two sets. Why? Caleb would sometimes mess his milk on the bed, or puke. If it could not be washed immediately it causes mold stains. So, I am saving some of my bedsheets.</sub

This solution is temporary as my son is growing. Thus, I will figure out what more baby proofing of our home is needed when the husband is home.

If I were you, just remove the bed frame and sleep on the cushion on the floor, problem solve. But where to keep the bed frame? Hehehe😛😛😁

Haha apaka kulet na mag akyat-akyat te 😅 ang cute din ng nabili mong headboard sayang Lang maliit masyado pero okay Naman hehe.
Chaka same sa iiyak muna or magsasalita kapag gising, bago mag lakat-lakat. super grateful din ako diyan hehe

The headboard was so nice especially for little kids in the house. Your baby was so cute and adorable!😍
