I don't remember the exact day but I happened to read @ruffatotmeee blog and she mentioned sandwiches. I on the other hand thought why not make my own? Buying in the coffee shop wasn't a good idea as it was expensive. Though it may not be exactly the one I wanted to eat, somehow almost it is. Just the cheaper version.

Instead of loaf bread, I decided to buy burger buns since it was cheaper. It cost less than $1 for six pieces.

For the ham, I bought a pack when at the market. I was looking for a specific brand but unfortunately this is the only one available.
And of course egg and mayonnaise.
)
)I prepare all ingredients needed while my son Caleb is still busy playing. I needed to be quick as the moment he noticed I was doing something he would demand to be carried.

Nope, not a tantrum but he wanted to be involved to feed his curiosity.

I don't have an oven so I will be making a sandwich using a pan. I tried several times and it worked, just setting the fire in low heat.
)
)I was done frying the ham and scrambled the egg. Supposedly I will be cooking it sunny side up but it would take a few more minutes.
Caleb started to notice I was not by his side. Currently we are in the clinging stage and he clings like a koala. Sometimes, I let him watch nursery rhymes but still I should be sitting next to him. He would either stand in my legs or sit in my lap 😂.
I was almost done, toasting the buns when he followed me in the kitchen. Since he is already walking it would be dangerous to let him. He slipped fast and may have caused accidents.
That left me with no choice but to carry him. Tried my best to coax him so he would resume playing but no luck.

So, this happened. One of the side was already burnt.

Still, I was thankful not all 😂.
)
)A little bit bitter but still edible, paired with not so hot coffee 🤣. I thought the water in the vacuum flask was still hot but it turned out just warm. Panlaman tiyan pa din.
Now, I mostly eat bread or loaf bread with any spread as it is easier to prepare in the morning. Husband is going home soon hopefully so I will have a nice breakfast for a month. For now whatever is available, what is important is, I am not starving and have the energy to take care of my toddler.

Ganyan yung meryenda ko lagi nung elementary kami eh. Ngayon, kuripot na si Mama lalo na nung lumabas kapatid kong isa hahaha. Nastretch ata budget niya joke.
Relate so much to cooking with a toddler around. Even the simplest food turns into a challenge. The sandwich still looks good though, and sometimes the slightly burnt ones have their own charm lol 😅. Glad you still got to enjoy it with your coffee 😁
