This event is all about the 60th birthday of my boss. That was last April 4, 2023.
It was my first time to attend for the event like this, like a simply birthday but a very extravacant celebration.
The Preparation
Two months before the event we prepare invitations like the design, motiffs, guest, give aways, the venue and the program. Actually, it was a non-work related task that already became an hindrance in preforming the real job cause it really affects my work. I did this to show respect and also as a gift.
Moving on, i prepare the invitation like printing and labelling. We also listed the name of guest and its quiet hard because most of them was personally i did not know. But my boss want me to write their name correctly at completely and the ending i made it with a wrong name and spelling because i dont know them. We make the nick names for the personalized shirts as a souvenier. But that was decided 5 days before the event. So the supplier did not finished it because of the rushed notice and cant decide for the names to be printed. That was very really stressful.
The Cotillion Dance
We and my co-employee waa part of the dance. Its just 5 minutes long, we had practice every lunch time and the coreographer was the former employee a retired supervisor. We just prepared for 2 weeks so our dance was not good.
The Event Place
The venue was very cozy, we choose the Crimson Hotel because it was very accessible for all of us. We can easily go there after the office work. The contract was emailed several times, too many revised. Oh my God, again that was very stressful.
The Wardrobe
The celebrant has a 3 gowns, 1 is for the video taping the preparation an hour
before the event.
We as her guest, we just bought simple formal long dress to make it suitable for the venue. I bought 2 dresses, the first one i got ut online. When the dress arrive i fit the dress immediately.Sadly it does not fit. I need to loose weight so i decided to look for another one. And luckily i found the one that best fit to me and i really like it. And believe it or not, i bought it foe only 250 pesos same with my office mate she also bought it at the same amount.
The Event Day
My boss was on leave. Before i go to work i prepare the things i need to bring because we will change at work. as early as 12 noon we iron oir hair so that before five in the afternoon we will just put our make up. At exactly 5 PM we leave the office and we arrive at the hotel at 5:30 in the afternoon. When we arrive their we need to wait for our seat because the priority was the special guest of the celebrator. We took pictures first at the lounge while waiting. 6:00 pm we entered the Grand Ballroom located at 8th floor.
The food is great and has many varieties and of course we eat all we can. The celebration was about 4 hours. The reservation was 5:30 to 9:30 PM, so it was just at exact time.
We enjoyed the night and of course the food. We had an nice experience for that kind of celebration.
