I would like to give you a virtual tour of the first ever Asia's Replica de Capelinha de Fatima, Portugal. Buckle your belt as we are now starting the flight!
When we say replica, it means a little chapel. And this little chapel is honoring the Lady of the Rosary. Our lady of Fatima.
Asia's Replica de Capilinha, Fatima is a religious destination located in the northern part of Cebu in the Upland village of Tacup, Lambusan, San Remigio, Cebu.
As far as I can remember, the Replica de Capilinha Fatima, in Northern Cebu was opened on year 2021 but consecrated on the year 2022.
It is a great privilege on the part of many Filipino devotees because we don't need to go to Portugal just to visit the Capilinha de Fatima. It is now less hassle and very convenient on our part.
It is around a hundred kilometers away from the city. To get there, you can use your private vehicle. Navigating the Google map is advisable.
The commute is also applicable since there is public transportation specifically ceres bus that travels the area. Just tell the bus driver to drop you off at the corner through Capelinha. You can just ride a local motorcycle with a friendly fare.
Upon arrival, you can feel that the area is conflict-free. It is a quiet and peaceful place. Far from the chaotic sound of vehicles, plus the touch of fresh air that can boost everyone's mood, and of course, the vibes of green and lively trees that will make you feel calm and stress-free.
A place that will make you forget all the worries in your heart.
As of now, the front or the ground area is under construction. Probably to have a better and bigger place for the visitors.
The replica in San Remigio, Cebu looks like that. It is very peaceful, clean, and spacious.
Since it is now the season of Christmas, I saw three Christmas trees in the corner.
And of course, do you know them? We all know that Jesus was born on Belen and not in an expensive place. In the photo above, you can see Mary with her husband Joseph. They traveled miles away just to give birth to our King, Jesus Christ.
That is called an Advent Wreath. As you can see, there are four candles in it. Three of them are purple while the other one is pink. Each candle has a different significance. Each symbolizes hope, peace, joy, and love.
That is placed in every altar of the parish, once a year. The first candle that symbolizes hope, is lit during the first Sunday of Advent. The second candle that symbolizes peace is lit during the second week of Advent.
The pink candle that symbolizes joy is lit during the third week of Advent, and the fourth one that symbolizes love is lit during the fourth Sunday of Advent.
When I see something like that, the first thing that comes to my mind is that Catholics are now preparing for the arrival of Jesus.
To give a short background,
Our Lady of Fatima is the mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
That name was given to her after she made an appearance to the three kids namely Lucia with her cousins Jacinta and Francisco. She appeared in a village in Fatima, Portugal.
Upon showing herself to the three kids, she was surrounded by light and identified herself as the Lady of the Rosary. That happened on May 13, 1917.
According to the scriptures, The lady appeared herself Five times. The Mother Mary speaks to the children, to pray the Holy Rosary to have a peaceful world.
Since then, it has become a part of our tradition to do FLORES DE MAYO. It is a practice where adults teach children how to pray the holy rosary. That will happen every first day up to the last date of May.
This is also the kneeling area. As you pray the Holy Rosary, you kneel and ask for forgiveness and wisdom. State all your feelings and personal intentions. Do it from the heart and you can feel these unexplainable light feelings ❤️

If you are facing the Replica, you can see the Candle Lighting Area on your left side. You can light your candles and do your prayers there just like what I did in the photo.
As I was roaming around, I saw this one. This is the Jubilee Cross. The cross that signifies the 500 years of our Christianity. Five Hundred years have passed by since Christianity was brought by the Spanish to us. Since then, we have kept on showing our strong faith, and is now practiced from generation to generation.
I can't let this be excluded. I was doing some sightseeing and look what I saw. A fruitful papaya tree. Can you imagine this one? How fresh the fruit can be once picked? Well, that is the perks of living in the province area. Aside from picking it fresh, it is for Free. The papaya grew behind the Jubilee cross, which is why it caught my eye.❤️
I kept on roaming around and I saw this one behind the replica. This is the Sacristy. When we say sacristy, it is a room where priests prepare themselves for the mass. Their vestments, and all other things needed for the mass.

After an hour, since it was a windy day, we immediately went home.
