Good day hivers! How's your day? I hope you're okay and having a great day. This blog is all about the culture, traditions and artifacts, "Museo sa Naga" or "Museum in Naga" is a place where you find different things from the past like clothes, pots, and etc. Let's unleash together what is the heritage of City of Naga, Cebu Philippines.
Our professor dismissed us early, me and my friends decided that we will go to the "Museo sa Naga" because we still don't know what is the "Museo sa Naga" looks like. We put our things on the outside because it's prohibited to bring bags inside, when we are already in the inside of the museum. There are so many pots there and stones.
I was so amazed also because I didn't know that there were trains in the past in City of Naga, it was for the transportation of the citizen and for delivering crops at that time. As time passes by of course we are now in the new generations, there are new technologies to use.
We also saw the "Minutes of Municipal Council Meetings", it's a record of the meetings of the past, and I was really amazed because they still have those records. It was truly extraordinary to keep those records for how many years or decades actually.
The cultural wear tradition that the woman in the past is called "Baro't Saya" it consists of (Baro) means blouse and (Saya) means skirt. There are also Clay potteries produced by the potters of Colon, Naga, Cebu, Philippines. It was an honored to see the things from the past and made from our fellow Filipinos'.
There are also pictures of the past mayors of City of Naga and it has a labeled " City of Naga Leadership".
We did also see on how our ancestors' lives from the past, the lifestyle of our ancestors before was so really simple but now our lifestyle did really evolve because of the technologies. In our everyday lives, the technology is really involved, the technology helps us on everything. But despite of having these new high-tech things, we should appreciate our heritage, and we should not forget of having these. For me, our culture is very crucial to each one of us because culture shapes of who we are.
Upon seeing our own heritage, I was so amazed of the beauty of the past or the history and I realize that people should be grateful to our fellow Filipinos or to our ancestors because having this kind of culture is honorable. As a Filipino we should preserve this kind of culture because its' one of the ways that we can share this wonderful culture to the next generations.
Me and my friends did really enjoy our visit in the museum because we did have a chance to see how beautiful our heritage is. I am very proud of being a Filipino, we should be proud of what are culture because culture shapes who we. This opportunity to realize how culture is very important, and we should continue to appreciate our own culture. Everyone can be amazed and appreciate our culture, but it would be also amazing if we Filipinos should be the greatest fan of our own culture.
That's all for today's blog and I hope you will still support me on my next blog. Thank you very much and may God bless us all!
It is good that the city was able to preserve these antiques and old artifacts. The young generation has something to appreciate of life after learning about the life of ancestors in the past. I love cursive handwriting so I feel nostalgic looking at the minutes of the council meeting ages ago.
Hope to visit this soon, thanks for sharing
