Cherished Moments: A Wedding Symphony at Villa Esperanza Garden

I would like to share my experience witnessing a wedding of one of our customers at the boutique where I did my OJT. Our customer booked the Plan C wedding package, which costs only 130,000 pesos. This package covers everything – the venue, church and venue decorations, photographer, catering, prenup shoot, bridal gown, groom's suit, attire for bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as the maid of honor and best man. It's all-inclusive, and they didn't have to worry about anything.

On their wedding day, I was invited by our boutique manager to assist. We went to the hotel where they were staying. I helped dress the bride and her bridesmaids in their gowns. Before putting on the wedding gown, the bride had a photo shoot wearing her robe. The bridesmaids and maid of honor followed suit the next moment, having their photos taken outside the hotel.

After the photo shoot, the bridesmaids and maid of honor went for touch-ups while the bride had her makeup retouched. I'm glad that all their gowns fit perfectly without the need for adjustments. Next was the bride, and her wedding gown had no issues either. I'm proud to say that we designed her wedding gown, including choosing the laces and stones.

After we assisted them, our manager called us and suggested that we skip going to the church and just set up the tables at the venue, as we'll be arranging them there. I feel uneasy because I wanted to witness their vows, but we had no choice.

The wedding venue is at Villa Esperanza Garden located in Punta Princesa, Cebu City. The place itself is not exceptionally nice, but we enhanced it with decorations to satisfy the bride and groom. Before the arrival of the bride and groom, along with their guests, we added the final touches to the flowers, chairs, and cakes. We also took care of arranging the giveaways. As for the food, the catering service handled the buffet arrangement.

While waiting for the bride and groom and their guests, we took pictures at the venue to capture the outcome of our decoration efforts before the crowd arrived.

At around four o'clock in the afternoon, the guests, including the bride and groom with their families, have arrived. The host welcomed the bridesmaids and groomsmen, the parents of the groom and bride, and the sponsors, with the bride and groom being the last to be welcomed. As they walked down the aisle to their seats, they danced along the way.

The program started, and after that, the guests lined up at the buffet to get their food, including us organizers. I was satisfied with their food, especially since we were quite hungry at that time.

After everyone finished eating, the program continued. The one who caught the bouquet will be the next to get married, while for the boys, whoever finds the garter will be the partner of the girl who caught the bouquet, and they will be the next to marry.

After that, the parents gave messages to the bride and groom, followed by the sponsors, and the last one to give a message was the groom and bride.

That day, I had so much fun, even though it was tiring, but it was worth it, especially witnessing a wedding. Of course, everyone desires to get married, and I can't help but imagine what if I were the one getting married – I would probably be so happy. While watching the bride and groom, I teared up because getting married is a dream for everyone, especially for women.

All of us dream of getting married, desiring to have someone we love by our side in both difficult and joyful times until we grow old. Marriage is a commitment between two people in love. No matter what challenges come their way, nothing can separate them anymore.

The wedding happens in just one day, but it's a significant event for partners, providing courage, motivation, and a vision of enduring love. If I find myself in the position to get married, I would cherish it and anticipate immense happiness. Regarding the question of what marriage is and why it's important, my answer is that marrying your special someone can bring completeness to your life. Imagine making a promise on that day to be together until old age—it's heartwarming to hear from your beloved. Marriage, to me, is a profoundly special occasion. While not all couples choose it, many prove their love without it. Love and marriage are intertwined, and though marriage is optional, it's my unequivocal choice. I eagerly look forward to it, and when the day comes, I'm confident I won't regret it but will treasure it for a lifetime.
