A Garden on Water: The Sun Rays Make the Difference

in Hive PH6 months ago

Usually, you make garden plots for your plants. The purpose of which is to have a better aeration for the plants, east to mix soil with fertilizers. The other purpose is to have a better access to the surrounding of the plot. But, how about the plants on the water? What do we need to do to allow them to grow faster and healthier?

My dear fellow Hivers, in this blog, I'll show to you the different views based on the position of the sun related to our fish pond's water lettuce. The use of this plant will also be taken up here. So, please find time to read this interesting topic about this plant. Let's go...

The Different Angles of the Sun

You can see fiery view under the water, in the pond bed. It's actually the sun ray that passes through the leaves if the water lettuce. It looks like fire that glows underneath. It's formed due to the angle of the sun or the position of the sun that is between 90° and 100°.

As you can see here, there's a space that I make by pushing aside the floating plants in order for us to see the water below the plants. The water looks fresh and clear. I can see that the lettuce controls the growth of algae. Thus, the water although stagnant for several months, looks fresh.

Here, you can see that the pond water is clearer compared to this one below.

A Kind of Aquaponics, a Two-Way Benefits

A combination of the water plants and the fishes make a kind of Aquaponics. But it doesn't need an aerator or a pump that moves the water to provide oxygen for the fishes because the water lettuce provides oxygen to the fishes and even refreshes the water.

Although the water has been stagnant for several months, refilled with rain water and has been filled with lots of algae, but it has regained it's freshness by the water lettuce that covers the whole water surface.

On the other hand, the excretions or wastes of the fishes, give fertilizer to the water plants. That's why they grow fast with their number until they covered the whole surface.

Realization

In the circle of life, what may be a waste for one may benefit others. And what benefits us may be more beneficial to others. In a few days from now, I may have additional feeds for swine or chicken by using these plants.

That's all for today. I hope you like this blog. Keep safe everyone. Thank you. This is @natsve54, signing off.

Yes mam. Makawala pud sa stress mam kay malingaw man ta. 😊

Wow. That's an amazing combination. That's a good example of a mutual relationship between the fish and the plants. Both of them benefited from their coexistence.

Thank you @edver143. Mao ni giingon nga bawos-bawos...😂. Really amazing.

You have a lovely water lily in your pond sr.They grow well maybe because they were all have enough nutrients and Im sure your fish grow well too for they provide oxygen.

Yes mam. The only nutrients they get are from the fishes wastes or feces. They grow well with it. Thanks mam.
