One thing I can be proud of being in the province is the availability of some essential resources. These are substantial especially when basic needs arise.

Good day, nature lovers all around the globe. Have you ever run out of food and drink in the middle of the mountains or even amidst a long journey? And as it wears out, your body also loses strength. What would be the best resort when even a drop of water in the tumbler is nothing? Join me as we wander to a hidden place where we are totally exhausted, a place where nothing you can ask for help when you're in need.

I still believe in a famous line that there is no long journey in a good company. Together as one, we traversed the river of San Remegio, Cebu, and experienced an extreme adventure that was full of discoveries and challenges. We weren't able to feel that we had trekked afar as we did it happily.

These towering rocks are to be surpassed as this will be the path on our way home. The river is surrounded by incredible views that are truly relaxing due to its amazing and unique appearance. Climbing them was energy-draining. We need to move forward so we can go home before the sun sets.

Due to the incredible views, I had forgotten that I was out of water already. My mind was overjoyed upon gazing at these huge rock formations. The students were a bit perplexed if they could reach the top too easily, persistence is the best key. They were running out of water too. I couldn't imagine how tired they were and we needed water to be recharged.

After the struggle to ascend, this picturesque view of nature enticed us all. Although we were tired, still we were grateful upon seeing this magnificent view and this led us to forget our thirst momentarily. The emerald green water was so tempting, however, we cannot assure it that it was safe for drinking.

Despite being exhausted we needed to keep on walking, it was almost 4:00 in the afternoon. We were so glad to have seen this house at the foot of the mountain. As we got closer, it looked like an abandoned house. Nobody was inside, and our excitement to have seen it suddenly disappeared. We could have asked for water to drink.

There were many coconut trees here, and this should be the solution. We continued our trek and reached another house and still nobody was home. We have no choice, we need to get some coconut fruit to refuel our draining energy and we have kids with us. They should not be dehydrated. Good thing my student can climb, our needs will be addressed.

We have no bolo to be used, we just used our initiative so we could open them. My students gently struck the fruit against a steep rock to open it, and so its juice will flow. At last, we quenched our thirst.

So it would not be a loss to the coconut tree owner, we left a 100 peso bill at the door of the house as payment for the 10 coconut fruits that we have taken. This might sound bad however we were really in need. Upon seeing the fruit juice, we were so glad and continued our journey full of energy.

It is truly said by George Herbert that Where there is a will, there is a way. This was all that we got an experience that is worth remembering. It was such a progressive day and we went home happily and contented. This is the true essence of being the province. Simple living but healthy.

Wow! I would have joined this trip if we did not went back to Cebu for work. I love seeing everyone have so much fun. I love the view you get to enjoy on your hike and the best part is the buko juice. I miss drinking some refreshing buko juice. Hope everyone enjoyed the hike. Keep safe and hoping to join you all soonest. ☺︎♡

The more the merrier. I hope we can have some treks on holiday. This will strengthen the bond and healthy pa. May this happen soon.

Glad you guys found coconut and can be able to pick Coconut.

The view is worth it after the struggle to reach that destination

We actually took ten coconuts to drink. Our bodies need to regain our strength, especially the children.

The view was truly relaxing and incredible. Everything there was pure and natural.
