My post yesterday about how my Davao solo backpacking started was only the beginning of an adventure worthy all the pages it occupied in my memory bank. Today, I'm taking you to another waterfall.
Tagbibinta Falls is the total opposite of Marangig Falls, which we explored yesterday. For starters, access to Tagbibinta Falls isn't free. It's not that much but still, you need to pay for it to see the waterfall. On the brighter side, Tagbibinta Falls offered more than just the gigantic, awe-inspiring waterfall hidden a few meters from the resort's entrance. For those who want variety, Tagbibinta Falls might be the one for you as this place has two huge swimming pools where you can enjoy the day with your friends and family. To me, the place appealed like a family park; huge cottages were strategically erected in one part of the resort. Aside from the tall trees lining up the concrete path leading to the waterfall, the entire place was filled with both non-flowering and flowering plants. Vibrant hues from yellow to purple made the place bursts with life.
The way to the waterfalls wasn't as thrilling as the one we had to go through to reach Marangig Falls. As I mentioned earlier, the path is not just concrete but as short as my patience LOL!😂. There were two groups of friends enjoying a cold bath in the mini pools of Tagbibinta Falls. I have to be honest, I was holding back to give my two-piece the debut it deserved back in Marangig Falls. But I was more confident to show more skin here since there were more people and when you're backpacking alone, more people means a safer place. I told my tour guide he could sit back and relax near the entrance while I immersed myself in another of nature's wonders. If you're wondering how I got all my solo photos, of course, I have to befriend the teens who were doing their version of backpacking, too. I took their photos and they took mine; give and take, just like anything else in life.
And before I forget, Tagbibinta Falls' thin stream of water cascading nonchalantly amidst the greenest trees and plants captivated me the second I laid my eyes on it. It's nothing extravagant but I felt all the more relaxed and devoid of anxiety each minute I stayed here. Together with other tourists, I stayed in one of the mini pools for a long time trying to decongest my mind, heart and soul. I might've stayed there for a long time that I forgot it was time for lunch! Good thing my stomach reacted a few minutes past 1 PM and that was my cue to say goodbye
