As I’m writing this, I’m here at my father’s house this house is in full “panic but calm” mode. The rain is getting stronger, and everyone’s busy preparing for the upcoming Typhoon Tino. You can actually feel the tension in the air — the kind where everyone’s pretending to be okay, but deep inside, we’re a little scared of what might happen.
Earlier, my father and his girlfriend were busy wrapping and lifting the appliances, making sure everything’s safe and dry. You can see boxes everywhere, clothes being folded and packed, and the sound of rain hitting the roof nonstop. It’s one of those moments that remind you how unpredictable nature can be.
I also checked the latest weather update from PAG-ASA, and it looks like the typhoon is moving closer. (This screenshots below are from PAG-ASA)
Honestly, what breaks my heart the most are the people who have no proper shelter right now — those staying in tents, those who lost their homes from the past typhoons, and those who are still trying to recover. Imagine facing another storm while still trying to rebuild what was lost. It’s heartbreaking.
Let’s continue to pray for everyone’s safety, especially for the people in Visayas, most especially in Northern Cebu, where the storm’s impact is expected to be stronger. Even I might be affected by this typhoon, but my heart goes out to those who are more vulnerable.
And to my co-hivers who are also in the areas to be affected — please stay safe. Charge your phones, prepare your essentials, and don’t underestimate the warnings. We’ve been through so much already, so let’s keep our faith strong and look out for one another.
There are also aftershocks still happening, which makes everything even scarier. It’s like we’re being tested one event after another. But in moments like this, I’m reminded that faith, unity, and care for each other are the things that really matter.
So to anyone reading this — if you have time, please whisper a little prayer for our region. Pray for calm winds, for safety, and for comfort for those who have nowhere to go.

We went today for grocery shopping and there are so many people. Panic buying because of the coming typhoon. I hope this typhoon not as bad like Odette.
