I was invited to attend the meeting at the Liga Office in Tabogon with all the Barangay Captains of 25 Barangays.
There was a change of plan for the Sanggi Festival 2024. As suggested by the Tourism Office it will be a School Base and it is already approved by our Tabogon Municipal Mayor.
The chosen school to represent by cluster is the Ilihan Integrated School as Cluster 1, Kal-anan National High School as Cluster 2, Don Esteban Nolasco Memorial National High School as Cluster 3, DoΓ±a Liling National High School as Cluster 4, and Daantabogon National High School as Cluster 5.
All the School Heads of the identified school were called to discuss with the barangay captains.
This time we were waiting for the other school heads to arrive. So that we can start the meeting.
Then the intelligent discussion started from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
By the way, in every cluster, there are five assigned barangays to allocate the funds.
It was agreed that we would wait until we receive an order from the higher office that we are allowed to do so.
In my opinion, well I am not against it but we need assurance that the collaboration of the assigned barangays in each quarter will be smooth.
In our end, we cannot provide money for the expenses. We only provide the manpower and monitoring during the practice.
This was my first time attending such a conference with the Honorables in our Municipality.
For me, it was a great experience discussing with these kind of people. I felt honored also.
While the discussion was ongoing they offered us snacks. It was delicious indeed.
I could not disclose here all the important issues and concerns for better output. But rest assured that we will do our best to make our Sanggi Festival 2024 a memorable one.

Therefore our Municipal Tourism Office initiated this activity to continue what they had started last year.
This is to help boost our Tourism Department and to recognize our culture.
The only thing that changes is that the school is now involved. This will add to our responsibility but because of our partnerships with the Local Government Unit (LGU), we cannot turn them down.
Looking forward to the great collaboration by all the barangays in my cluster. Happy to work with all of you soon. Win or lose we will offer this to the glory of our Almighty God through our Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador.
