Powering Up

I have been in the platform, blogging
aimlessly at first, then mindlessly. Not really sure which came first, or maybe it's both. But one thing was for sure, my account wasn't going anywhere.

Before last month, all I did was just the usual stuff, post as regularly as I can, once a day. Sometimes, I'd miss out, there even came a point when I would just post once a week. For a little while, it seemed to me that the articles I have that's worth posting were the ones about my crochet project.

I have always loved writing. So even if I did not get that much payouts on my posts. I'm just so glad I was able to find a platform where I could share about things I am passionate about.

I found some other ways to earn in the platform There are communities that invite Hiveians to delegate to earn some Hive and there are some where you can delegate to earn upvotes on your posts.

Recently, I learned that I should also be looking at other ways to increase my Hive Power. It was actually very simple. Curate. Even more actively than before. Of course, when curating, one will also need a lot of Hive Power so you don't drain your voting power too quickly.

So I turned to dlease.io so I can lease a few HP in exchange for some Hive. So far, I can say it's working fine for me. My APR has increased twice as much. And my curation earnings have also climbed upward. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's the increased HP from the lease or if it's the more active curation. But improvement in Hive Power is good, so I guess I'll continue with this system.

Speaking of system, I have decided of dividing my HBD earnings to different percentages. Some for my contests or any future contests I may think of to increase interaction. Some will go to the communities I care about.

In conclusion, while it is good that we practice and enhance our assion, be it writing, arts, crafts, music, we should also strive to thrive and improve in this platform. Not only with our skills, but also Hive Power. But more than just earning, we should also think about giving something back to the community. Not just the communitues we joined, but also the entire Hive community.

Consistently and regularly post quality contents. Get yourself out there. Comment and upvote on posts you think deserves support and recognition. And think about powering up before considering withdrawing your liquid Hive. Every little bit counts.

Wow, power ka mamsh ha! My curation apr has gone down recently. I think because I haven't done any active manual curation these past days. Bawi na lang ako in the coming days. haha
