When you visit a place, the first thing you will notice is the beauty of the surroundings. But what will make you come back - or stay - is the people.

That Friendly Smile

Smile and be happy. You are sure to be greeted with smiles and will receive the warmest welcomes wherever you go in the country. Sure you will see the weariness in their eyes but a smile will always be in the faces of the Filipino people.

Despite the hardships we experience, the Filipino people still find ways to find the fun. No wonder comedians thrive in the entertainment industry.

Thisnmay also be a reason why there are a lot of solo travelers in the country. The friendliness in a Filipino's smile makes it easy to ask for directions.

Pilipinas Got Talent

In case you haven't noticed, Filipino people are extremely talented. A drinking session will not be complete without a videoke session and more often than not, there is always someone in the group who will shine.

If you will visit a relative, the young ones are often requested to dance or sing or show a special talent to the visitors.

In a group of friends, there is always an artist, a writer, a musician, a comedian, a crafter, a singer, and so much more.

We are Smart and Resourceful

How else would we survive these trying times? No jobs, no money, no food. We Filipinos always find ways to get by. We are survivors because we are smart and resourceful. Even in the dark, we will still see a way out. Our country is full of untapped riches and we are gifted with the resourcefulness to use those riches to our advantage.

We Persevere

Wherever we go in the country, there is always a story about someone fighting through the challenges and succeeding in the end. There is always a classmate who, against all odds, will persevere and work hard just so graduate and finish school.

Rugs to riches story is somewhat common in the country and they serve as inspirations to all aspiring Filipinos.

We Always Lend a Helping Hand

Even with the very little we have, we Filipinos have a heart that gives. We know how it feels to be helpless, that is why we see to it that we help each other the best way we can.

Even here in the hive community, us Filipinos find ways to help and encourage each other. We share tips and tricks, we guide the newbies, we correct the wrongs.
