Every time, when I pick up and read a book, I feel like I have walked through the circumstances and live the stories of the characters, or even just walk alongside with them in the book, it's like entering an entire different planet. As for me, reading is not only a hobby, but also a therapy. It brings me peace and joy; knowledge is a food for the brain indeed as it guides me as I live my life in the real world.
As someone who sees herself become a Social Studies teacher, literature and history carries a special haven in my heart. This is a treasure I am truly grateful about. As a future teacher, my goal is to challenge the misconception that the subject Araling Panlipunan or Social Studies is boring, as many students complain that it is a dull subject, as they struggle finding its relevance in daily living, which is absolutely wrong. It just really needs a good shaping of knowledge, an appropriate one, and it is to refrain traditional teaching practices such as purely writing of notes for the history subject. I want to create a fun, interactive and fruitful school environment where students not only learn, but also find motivation and meaning in the lesson; to see the relevance of Social Studies in their lives.
How do I really achieve this goal? I try to use motivational, innovative teaching methods and techniques. From discussions, I love integrating history and culture into the lives of my students, making it relatable to them, so they can feel connected to the lesson. I firmly believe that education is not only about taking notes from the blackboard, memorizing facts, but also about cultivating creativity and critical thinking. Through my teaching, I want to constantly motivate students and help them recognize the beauty of learning social studies.
Aside from teaching and reading, I possess a deep love for writing as well. Whether it’s essays, poetry, or proses, writing enables me to express freely my thoughts and emotions in a way that feels authentic and just showcases the real 'me'. I believe that every person has a unique view to offer and story to share, and writing my thoughts is my way of contributing to the world. Through my words, I hope to inspire others, to make them feel seen, heard, and understood, and to be a sole reminder that they are not alone in their experiences. Indeed, this is for the people who sees themselves in me.
My decision to join Hive was driven by my desire to find a space where I could be my true self. In today’s practical world, finding a platform that values authenticity and creativity is rare. When I discovered Hive, I realized it was exactly what I was looking for: a community that encourages self-expression, collaboration, and positivity. I chose to join Hive because I was looking for a space where I could truly be myself without fear of judgment. Discovering this community felt like coming home where positivity prevails, where I truly belong. Hive is more than just a blogging platform; it has a lot to offer, it is a safe haven for people like me who want to share their stories, ideas, and inspirations. It offers a supportive environment where uniqueness is celebrated, and connections are nurtured. I joined Hive because I wanted to be part of a community that values meaningful conversations, and to offer support to people for also being themselves. As a writer, I believe Hive offers me the freedom to dive into different topics and share my insights with a diverse audience. Whether it’s a reflection on different topics, an inspiring story to ponder, or a book review, I know that my contributions will be recognized. This sense of belonging motivates me to continue honing my skills and to push the boundaries of my creativity.
I firmly believe that we all have something valuable to offer to the world, and Hive is the perfect platform for me to share my thoughts. Through my blogs, I aim to spread joy and inspiration, particularly to the people who, like me, are going through the ups and downs of life. I want to focus on writing about my interests: education, literature, and writing; while also acknowledging the idea of personal growth and self-discovery. I want to use my platform to encourage others to live their life to the fullest, to embrace their uniqueness, and to have a mindset of 'lifelong learning'. In addition to sharing my own stories, I also hope to interact with the Hive community by giving enormous suplort tothe works of other creators, like me. Building connections with fellow writers and thinkers is one of the things I anticipate the most. I think that by supporting one another, we can create a lively and inclusive community that focuses on mutual respect and encouragement.
I owe my discovery of Hive to an amazing person, Je-ann Fuentes. She introduced me to the platform and shared her own experiences as a member of the Hive community. Upon hearing her stories about how Hive became a helpful platform for her to grow and learn from well-rounded individuals inspired me to join as well. Je-ann’s enthusiasm and commitment for Hive was apprarent, and I was really drawn to the idea of being part of a group of online content creators having one goal: spread good vibes by being themselves. Her encouragement, as a fellow CTU student, as well, made me be confident, there is this sense of belonging as I take the opportunity as well, and I am so excited to begin this Hive chapter in my Hive blogging era.
As I begin this journey with Hive, I am intensely filled with positivity and hope. I see this as a way to not only bring out my story, but also to learn from the stories of others. I look forward to getting to know other fellow creators too, having an exchanging of ideas with them, and just bringing positivity in the world of Hive. Through this platform, I hope to bring encouragement to the community. I want this platform to be a place for my thoughts, ideas, and dreams; a sanctuary where I can literally see how I progressed as an individual.
To the people who took their time to read what I can share about myself, I genuinely thank you all. Your support is a fuel to my burning desire to be confident as an individual and I will carry it with me as I grow. I am very much excited to connect with you, build positive connection, to share ideas, and to wholly inspire one another. Together, let’s make Hive a safe place for everyone!
