Are you familiar with Tissue Paper Art? This activity is simpler than it seems and very entertaining for kids. We bought this piece of Tissue Paper Art in Mr. DIY in our barangay, which is just near our house—at least 10 minutes walk and 3 minutes ride. I have always wanted to do this activity with my niece because my students at school as an intern were very fascinated by this, so I thought of doing it with her. However, I'm not good at creating figures to trace during the activity, so I wished I could buy a ready-to-use paper art piece and luckily bought one in the said store.

The inclusions of this one are a fruit-shaped hard paper to trace for the activity, which you can choose any fruit like cherries or bananas, a short rope, and sets of colored papers. There was no glue, so I bought a separate one for this paper activity. When my niece found out I had this little gift for her, she was jumping happily and telling my younger brothers that I bought her a gift. She always appreciates little things we give to her, from ice cream to brand new clothes; this kid already learned how to appreciate things at a young age.

We started the activity by rolling the colored paper between our fingers, just like what the photo shows. We had three colors: green, orange, and yellow, with each color designated to specific parts of the pineapple-shaped hard paper to create the pineapple figure accurately. The packaging had the pineapple final product, so we used it as reference to our works.
Slowly and cheerfully, we rolled the papers, which were many for me. My niece helped me and listened carefully to my instructions. The rolling of papers was the longest and hardest part because you have to maintain the size of the paper to fit it in the pineapple figure. The orange colors were many compared to the two colors, so we rolled them first.

When we had plenty of colors, my niece put them gradually on the figure using the glue I bought. She enjoyed the process of placing each rolled paper on the pineapple shape and often needed my instruction because sometimes she got confused about where to put them. But she was patient, curious, and excited every time a new part of the pineapple started filling in.

Gradually, the colors made the pineapple come to life again through the colored papers. Activities like this help kids learn patience, color recognition, and fine motor skills, and they also teach them how to follow simple instructions while giving them the freedom to explore their creativity. It becomes a bonding moment, but at the same time, a learning moment that they carry with them.

When the final product was done, we were both happy with how it turned out. It was so perfect and I felt proud to my niece for being so dedicated on her crafts. Activities like this help me understand her more in some aspects especially her cognitive growth. I took a photo of the final artwork and took her a photo holding it. So cute(^^)

We decided to hang it on the wall for memories. It became a reminder not just of the art we made but also of the small, simple moments that build childhood and family connection.
It's good to see children being introduced into arts..in this way they will become creative at an early age
Yes po @lolitaanana001 that's why at this early age I am teaching her basic creativity so she will grow creative and smart. Also, I want her to be busy at hindi mag cellphone kase nakakashorten ng attention span.
Cute,I remember helping my little sister with her project and it turned out awful Hahahhaha
May I ask why? Because we also experienced that because I fell asleep and my niece just cut all papers I prepared for origami.
We aren't that artistic HAHA but we still managed to finish it
galing naman
Thank you po @joyce152218
Ang cute Ng gawa nya at nasisinagan Rin ako Makakita Ng bata na nakakagàwa Ng ganitong activity. Napaka supportive tita mo Naman na maghanap Ka talaga Ng need neto. Hehe 🤍🥰
Salamat po @crstypatata. Mga bata po kase ngayun sa cellphone na nawiwili at hindi na sa mga aktibidad na ginagawa natin noon. As long as may time ako, ginagawa talaga namin tong activity nato para may natutunan sya araw araw. Kids taught to be creative will grow intelligent ika nga.
Medyo nakuha naman ni Bunso hehe te yung pineapple art sa picture hehe.Yung kapatid ko rin po ay mahilig sa art pero ako kasi ay wala talagang katalent talent sa ganyan
Your niece’s excitement shows how much she appreciates the time and effort you give her haha so wholesome!
