Engagement and networking are one of the factors that you need to consider stepping up if you want to stay longer in Hive and somehow be successful. As I maintain the engagement tracker in the Filipino community, upon carefully assessing the data the level of engagement of users is proportional to their rewards. It is never a guarantee though, but as a curator in my own perspective, I would rather give an upvote and comment to someone who interacts with me and other users too versus the ones who just drop their post and go.
Asher is doing the The Hive Engagement League 🏆 and when I tried to reflect on it, I decided to host a contest relating to this event which is dedicated to Filipinos. So after getting approval from the admin of HivePH - @adamada and asking for a budget of 20 HIVE for the event the HivePH Engagement League is born.
The said contest will only measure the engagement of Hivers in the blockchain. This will be a monthly contest that can measure the most active users here in Hive Blockchain.
To join this contest, you should either be
- Filipino Hiver
- Non-Filipino Hiver but creates content relating to the Philippines actively.
Once you are good with the first requirement then you just need to comment on this post with your username and I will have your name included in the round. No nominations for others but you can tag the person whom you want to join. ( Take note that unless the tagged person leaves his username or confirmed that they want to join they are not going to be added to the contest.)
The point system:
1 Point per post published
- 1 point is given to each post created. On average a user creates 15 or more pieces of content each month.
.25 Points per comment
- I only gave .25 points to this as sometimes comments given are follow through to the discussion that is happening. Some are just banters etc. To get the true comment count it is Comments deducted by Unique Comment.
1 Point per unique comment
- A unique comment is the initial comment given by the user to a certain post thus I gave higher value to that. This means that they engaged to a different user outside their blog and I believe that this is the core of the contest. To get out of their own blog and comment to others and build genuine connections.
0.05 Points per upvote given
- Getting an upvote is a nice thing to receive but since the bot that we are using just consolidates the count of votes distributed this point system can be rigged. Imagine, you are using a voting trail, automatically you give an upvote already to different people across without you even knowing hence I give a little point of consideration to such.
5 points deduction per self-upvote.
- Sometimes it is nice to pat your back with a job well done. I do consider that back then as I upvote my own content years ago. But then since it is free reward that you distribute why are you keeping it to yourself? It doesn't matter on what is the value I just consider the count that it happened.
Let us use my account as an example
Post Count - 12 points earned
Unique Comments - 83 points earned
Upvotes Distributed - 845 multiplied by .05 - I earned 42.5 points
Comments - 145 comments distributed multiplied by .25 I earned 36.25 points
Overall, I earned 173.75 points this round.
After tabulating the results everyone will be ranked according to the points received from highest to lowest. Since we have a limited budget of 20 Hive the reward distribution will be as follows
Champion - 5 Hive
1st runner-up 4 Hive
2nd runner-up 3 Hive
3rd runner-up 2 Hive
4th to 10th runner-up 1 Hive
This will be fixed until further notice and the whole ranking of participants will be published as well in the upcoming report. If you want to sponsor this contest you can leave a comment or even send me a message through discord.

Upvotes distributed via curation trail is counted parin pero same lang sya ng value ng upvote distributed in general. .05 point.
So mga 20 upvotes na distributed ( regardless of whatever the method is ) for you to score 1 point.
Leaving a unique comment is the way to go to accumulate points parin.
