You really did a good digging @jloberiza. Nice one. I never knew about the origin of the tradition. Especially the origin of the word "halloween". This post is an awareness of why we shouldn't use the words "Happy Halloween". I hope most of the readers could get your point. Because I get it personally.

Thank you, @whosee. I think there is nothing really wrong with the greeting Happy Halloween. It's like saying "Happy Hallows Day", or Happy Days for those who are Holy (Hallows). Unfortunately, the modern concept of Halloween is now associated with ghoulish costumes and candies.
