Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim. İyi olmaya çalışıyorum. Geçtiğimiz günlerde sevgili @thekittygirl'ün beni etiketlemesini bildirimlerimde gördüm. "Name Challenge - Revived!" şeklinde bir başlığa sahipti. Tabii bu benim oldukça ilgimi çekti.
"birbirimizi daha iyi tanımak ve böylece gerçek benliğimizi biraz paylaşarak dostlukları geliştirmek." amacıyla bu challenge'ı yeniden başlatmış. Elbette, konuşmayı çok seven ben için hakkında konuşamayacağım bir şey değil kesinlikle.
İlk önce size bahsetmek istediğim şeylerden bahsedeyim. Zaten bunları bu blogta görebilirsiniz. @thekittygirl ne demek istediğini harika bir şekilde yazabilen birisi.

Şimdi sanırım kendi kullanıcı adımı nasıl seçtiğimden bahsetsem harika olacak. En azından bu uzun sayılabilecek kelimeleri uzatmak istemiyorum.
Kullanıcı Adımı Nasıl Seçtim?
Daha öncede özellikle de İnstagram için kullanıcı adı konusunda büyük sıkıntı yaşıyordum. O dönemde çok sevdiğim (hâlâ da seviyorum) Lilith ile birlikte beriLilith kullanıcı adını bir süre kullanmıştım fakat sonrasında hesabımı yaptığım bazı suçlayıcı yorumlardan sonra kapatmak zorunda kaldım.
Bu konuda suçlu olduğumu kabul ediyorum. Bu tarz yorumlar yapmamalıydım fakat Atatürk'e, milletime ve ülkeme olan sevgimi az çok biliyorsunuzdur. Bir de ergen olmanın verdiği ateşle birlikte küfürlerimi geri tutmadan yorumlar yapıyordum bu tarz insanlara. Hâliyle de hesabım bir süre sonra şikâyetten kapandı.
Yeni bir hesap için isim seçmeye çalışırken aklıma isim ve soyismimin ilk harflerini kullanmak geldi. Bir de resmi olarak kullanmadığım bir ismim daha var. Mine. Anne ve babamın bana dini gerekçeler ile verdikleri isim. Bu zaten kullandığım bir isim değil yine söylemem gerekirse fakat o sıralar fikirlerim tükeniyordu. Bu yüzden de Beril Mine Er... kullandım. Tabii ki de bütün ismimi tamamıyla söylemeyeceğim 😂
İlerleyen zamanlarda bu kullanıcı ismine bağlandım ve neredeyse her yeni üyeliğimde bu ismi kullandım. Buna Hive da dahil oldu. Sistemlerin neredeyse hepsinde daha önce alınmamış bir kullanıcı ismi olduğu için de farklı platformlarda bu kullanıcı ismini kullanmam oldukça kolay oldu.
Mevcut kullanıcı adınızı değiştirebilseydiniz, hangi adı seçerdiniz ve neden?
Açıkçası ben kullanıcı adımı değiştirmek istemezdim. Şu andaki hâlinden oldukça memnunum. Belki zorunda kalsaydım ben mahlasım ile alâkalı bir şeyler kullanmak isterdim. Benim mahlasımı her yazımda bulabiliriniz. Yazım sonuna imzamı eklerim hep. O da Ailithy'dir. Yine gençlik yıllarımda yazdığım hikâyelerde kendi adımı vermemek için seçtiğim bu ismin bende yeri büyüktür. Bana yazarlık adımlarımı hatırlatır.
Belki kullanıcı ismimi değiştirmek zorunda kalırsam bana güzel geçmişimi hatırlattığı için Ailithy'ti seçerdim. Hatta şimdiki kullanıcı adım ve bu kullanıcı adı arasında çok arada kaldığımı hatırlıyorum.
Sanırım Bu Kadar
Sanırım size kullanıcı ismim ve hikâyesi hakkında söyleyebileceklerim bu kadar. Oldukça basit tek hikâyesinin benim zorbalık yaparak asıl kullanıcı ismini kaybetmem ile alâkalı bir durum var. Tam bir Beril kaosu diyebilirim sanırım buna.
Aynı şekilde birkaç kişinin de isimlerinin hikâyelerini merak ediyorum açıkçası.
Birinicisi @stresskiller. Merak ettiğim neden stres öldürücü olduğu. Bu fikir nereden aklına geldi.
İkincisi @foxkoit. Kendisini To Hive with Incublus buluşmalara katıldığımızda biz onu Fox diye çağırıyoruz fakat bunun altındaki anlam ne? Nereden geliyor bu isim?
Üçüncüsü @fantagira. Kendisi büyük ihtimalle daha önce bundan bahsetti fakat ben hatırlamıyorum ya da görmedim. Şu sıralar ise kendisinin aktif olmaması beni üzüyor.
Son ikiliyi yakınlarıma bıraktım. Birinci olarak hikâyesini bilsem de, daha doğrusu yarım yamalak hatırlasam da @incublus. Sadece benim değil bence birkaç kişinin de merak ettiği bir şey.
Son olarak ise adım gibi bildiğim bir isim olsa da bir kere daha onun kelimelerinden bu yazıyı okumak harika olur. @pravesh0. Seni bu işin içine çekmesem olmazdı sevgilim.

I hope you’re all doing well, or are trying to be well. I’m doing well — or trying to, at least. A few days ago, I saw a notification that dear @thekittygirl had tagged me. The title was “Name Challenge – Revived!”, which, of course, immediately caught my attention.
She restarted this challenge “to learn more about each other, and to thereby foster friendships by sharing a bit of our true selves.” Naturally, for someone like me who loves to talk, this is definitely not something I’d struggle to write about.
First, let me tell you a few things about the challenge itself. You can already see them in this blog. @thekittygirl explained everything perfectly.

- If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why?

I suppose it’s best if I start by telling you how I chose my own username. At least that way, this post won’t turn into an endless paragraph.
How I Chose My Username?
I used to have a hard time choosing a username, especially for Instagram. Back then, I really liked (and still do) the name Lilith, so I used the handle beriLilith for a while. However, I had to delete that account after some rather heated comments I made.
I do admit that was my fault — I shouldn’t have written those kinds of comments. But as many of you already know, I have deep love and respect for Atatürk, my nation, and my country. Combined with the fire of teenage impulsiveness, I didn’t exactly hold back my words toward certain people. As a result, my account eventually got reported and shut down.
When I was creating a new account, I thought of using the first letters of my name and surname. I also have another name — Mine — which my parents gave me for religious reasons. It’s not a name I use, but at the time I was running out of ideas. So I ended up combining them: Beril Mine Er… Of course, I won’t reveal the rest of my surname 😂
Over time, I grew attached to this username and started using it for almost every new account I created — including Hive. Since it’s a fairly unique name and rarely taken on other platforms, it’s been quite convenient to keep using it everywhere.
If You Could Change Your Username, What Would You Choose and Why?
Honestly, I wouldn’t want to change my username. I’m quite happy with it as it is. But if I ever had to, I’d probably choose something related to my pen name. You can always find my pseudonym at the end of my posts — it’s Ailithy.
I picked this name back in my early writing days, when I didn’t want to use my real name in the stories I wrote. It holds a lot of meaning for me because it reminds me of my first steps into writing.
So, if I ever had to change my username, I’d go with Ailithy — because it reminds me of the good parts of my past. In fact, I remember being quite torn between this name and my current one when I first created it.
I Suppose That’s All
I think that’s all I can tell you about my username and its story. It’s a fairly simple one, really — its main twist being that I lost my original username because of my own reckless behaviour. I suppose you could call it pure Beril chaos.
To be honest, there are a few people whose name stories I’m curious about, too.
First, @stresskiller. I’d love to know why “stress killer”? Where did that idea come from?
Second, @foxkoit. We call him Fox during To Hive with Incublus meetups, but what’s the meaning behind it? Where does it come from?
Third, @fantagira. I think she’s probably mentioned it before, but I can’t remember — or maybe I just haven’t seen it. It makes me a bit sad that she hasn’t been very active lately.
The last two are people close to me. First, @incublus — even though I half-remember the story, I’m sure others are curious too.
And finally, a name I know by heart — but I’d still love to read the story again in his own words: @pravesh0. I couldn’t leave you out of this one, my love.

Muhtemelen bunun için bu aralar bir gönderi yazmayacağım ama kullanıcı adımın nereden geldiğini burada anlatayım. Aslında kullanıcı adım incubus'tu ama bu Hive'da çoktan alınmıştı. Bunu da lise okuduğum dönemde bir giyim mağazasının önünden geçerken görmüştüm. Sonra bu kullanıcı adının çok yaygın olduğunu gördüm. Oyunlarda ya da internet sitelerinde incubus kullanıcı adı çoktan alınmıştı ve ben de bunu nasıl değiştirebilirim diye düşündüm. incugus, incubbus, inclubus gibi şeyler de olabilirdi ama bana en klas gelen kullanıcı adı incublus oldu.

i really enjoyed reading the story of how your username came to be its interesting how our online names often carry so much of our past and personality. Beril Mine Er has a nice flow to it, and Ailithy feels poetic perfect for a writer like you😊
It might sound like it but Mine's pronunciation is a bit different than English's mine. it is like Me-na, close to it at least. thanks for stopping by.
