As long as the price is over 1usd, the peg requires selling to come back into alignment.
If nobody sells, the price goes up.
If you sell, and buy back hive, the price of hive goes up!
This is the essential loop that is missing in the HBD peg.
If more folks would do this, we could shake off the speculators that drive the price off the peg, but it will take all the authors to work in concert selling their HBD.
Just be sure to bring back that value to the hive!
Never sell Hive, there are only ~400 million of them, and this is not enough to go around once folks get here.
If we had 100,000 daily users, that only allows ~4000 hive each.
With that many users, most of them will not even be able to make it dolphin level.
There is not enough hive to allow it.
