There are periods when the trending page on Hive is dominated with all sort of conspiracy crap that make my last neuron want to commit ritual suicide with a dull knife. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people expressing their retardation without any fear of censorship but when I see that kind of content on the trending page getting upvotes worth many tens of dollars it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Partly because when somebody from the outside first discovers Hive and sees posts talking about how masks are useless and vaccines gives you three pairs of balls, they could very well think "screw this place full of conspiracy nuts".
Lately I've seen posts than mainly focus on Hive on the trending page which is a very good thing, and gives me hope that we won't turn into a cesspool of degeneracy :P
This meme is weapomised against ethnic groups, and demeaning to aluminium cookware, and it's not DAMP, and it doesn't use the words hive, or bitcoin...

The trending page is a dumpster fire of the values of our largest stakeholders.
They have to vote on something because leaving crumbs for the rest of us is too much to ask of people already fiat rich.

Well, I quite see these things your way. There is usually some good arguments and educative facts being shared by these people but they ruin it all with one far-fetched conspiracy theory or the other.

Man, are you from the 14th century or something? The world has changed now, its no longer just the Catholic Church. Back then the Catholic Church could kick you out via excommunication and you can no longer attend church and be around all the sweethearts you want to be around. But now, there are hundreds of churches everywhere, if one kicks you out, you go to the next one. You can rinse and repeat every week, life has really improved since 1421, man.
