Okay I didn't directly mean you or me but way to turn your back against a fellow hiver and ring the downvote alarms on some petty IP issue from an obvious sock.

Whether or not it’s a Walden account is a minor issue.
The truth was told by the rando, and what @fermionico did was steal content he had no legal right to, to profit himself.
Since he refused to do the right thing I gave him some help.
He's not profiting from the images, they're not the sole reason he's receiving rewards on the post. Since it's images he may not legally use it's in the hands of the owner to take actions against him and/or the front-ends/the storage of the images. People share these stuff on Reddit daily, soccer subreddits share gifs and an hour or so later the gifs are taken down, the person who posted them isn't the one receiving any consequences even if the main thing was the gif that wasn't legal to be used, it's the website or the server storing it that takes care of DMCA's or legal issues with the content.
Yet here you want to punish someone for content he used where the content wasn't the main thing people were curating his post for.
Well by this argument all image and content poaching is fair game. Nice to know. So anyone can just take your posts and profit from them.
Good to know.
Wow. Thanks for the easy mute.
You gaslighted and I played along.
Yeah not surprised that you question reality that easily
I bet you also think Trump will be reinstated this month too
Wait til the masses find out what immutability means and once image and video storage becomes decentralized and immutable as well, you better lawyer up.
That means that in my next post I can use an image from wherever I want and not put the source and/or I don't care if it is forbidden by the owners, I still won't give a damn, and nobody will come here in Hive (including the aforementioned protagonist of this whole dilemma or the nice guys from Hive Watchers, or some other self-appointed "watchers" and "defenders" of Hive, like thugs to give me downvote or leave me threatening or offensive messages since, after all, my main content is the text and not that image.
Is that what you want to tell me?
If they are here and you've taken the images from someone who is active here and giving them credit then I don't see a problem with it, of course it would be nice since beneficiaries are in place if you gave them a little reward as well which is the main idea of the stock photo community. I don't see why you would have to. He's in his full right to send the front-ends a DMCA and report you to the authorities if he wants but other than that it shouldn't be a hivewatcher or community issue to downvote you based on images used in a post where the images are just there for the story/text.
I think I was quite clear in how I see this, then again I'm not a proponent of IP and would only be flattered if someone used my photos and gives credit to me to his readers while others get all up in arms cause they feel something is being taken from them and get on all fours trying to suck up to an imaginary MLB representative who's obviously one of you guys. Of course there are limits too and context you want to use them in, if you use them in a defamatory light I'm sure the community would feel differently. OP clearly didn't and thanks to this whole facade I am now aware of MLB's NFT's which I had forgotten about so in a way he/you literally gave MLB profit by marketing their trademark.
PS! He did have the source under the images so you're wrong.
First, I was referring to any image on the Internet.
On the other hand, maybe you have that way of thinking about intellectual property, but how will the tens or even hundreds (not to say thousands) of users who have been persecuted, defamed, humiliated and so on by HWs and this gentleman, just because they considered, checked and even supposed that such user was stealing, ripping off, plagiarizing, etc.? You say that Hive Watchers should not say anything to this user, nor reject his content. perfect! Let them then change their obfuscating attitude with those minnows or other users who just want to learn, that some make mistakes, that many do it unintentionally and just the same these nefarious what they do is chase them away and dismiss them from Hive with their absurd persecutions.
PS: Sure, he had the source under his images. On that we agree, the example I put in my previous comment was based on what I understood from your approach.
Are you dense? I'm by no means a fan of hivewatchers but this has nothing to do with plagiarism. If authors want to use illegal images it's their risk and some users may unfollow/not vote on such content and ask him not to but it's still his decision and the owner of the images to take action against it. Why are you here trying to make this a hivewatcher issue
It seems to me that you lose your patience very quickly. Be careful with your heart.
