Hola amigos, por aquí con una nueva aventura en bicicleta, en esta ocasión algo diferente porque fue en una ruta de tierra la cual ameritaba conocimiento y destreza en pistas de montaña y campo para hacer los 14 km. que requiere culminar este circuito ubicado en la hacienda Santa Teresa ubicada en la Victoria del estado Aragua, Venezuela.
Hello friends, here with a new cycling adventure, this time something different because it was on a dirt road which required knowledge and skill in the mountain and country tracks to make the 14 km. required to complete this circuit located in the Santa Teresa hacienda located in La Victoria, Aragua state, Venezuela.
La convocatoria fue por parte de nuestro compañero Alexander, quien tuvo la oportunidad de conocerla unos días atrás, al contarnos su vivencia despertó en nosotros la curiosidad de conocer y experimentar un nuevo destino, como ya es costumbre, nos organizamos con la logística requerida, el día anterior compramos los insumos que llevaríamos para la nueva aventura.
The call was from our colleague Alexander, who had the opportunity to meet her a few days ago, telling us his experience aroused in us the curiosity to know and experience a new destination, as usual, we organized with the required logistics, the day before we bought the supplies that we would take for the new adventure.
Fue el domingo 07 de agosto del 2022, desde muy temprano los teléfonos se activaron para mantenernos informados, me fui con Claudia, Yvone, Marcel y Richard, en otra camioneta se fueron: Rolando, Alicia, Joanny, Alexander, también los compañeros: Dariela y Jonathan pero estos últimos salieron más temprano para esperarnos en la hacienda, fue muy emocionante cuando llegamos ver la cantidad de ciclistas amigos y otros que venían de otras regiones del país, aproximadamente 120, a las 9 a.m se dio inicio a esta aventura ¡Vaya que lo fue!
It was Sunday, August 7, 2022, from very early the phones, were activated to keep us informed, I went with Claudia, Yvonne, Marcel, and Richard, in another van went: Rolando, Alicia, Joanny, Alexander, also the companions: Dariela and Jonathan but the latter left earlier to wait for us at the hacienda, it was fascinating when we arrived to see the number of cyclists friends and others who came from other regions of the country, approximately 120, at 9 a.m. began this adventure and: It was!
Al principio es una carretera de tierra (al paso de los ciclistas se levanto bastante polvo) en plano, aproximadamente 1 Km, luego comienzan las subidas, las primeras son sencillas, pero como el grupo era tan grande, si uno se paraba los de atrás también porque no había manera de pasar, teníamos que superarla caminando, eso nos paso a varios del grupo.
At the beginning is a dirt road (at the passage of cyclists rose quite dusty) flat, about 1 km, then begin the climbs, the first is easy, but as the group was so large, if one stopped the back also because there was no way to pass, we had to overcome it walking, that happened to several of the group.
Para la mayoría era una nueva experiencia, en nuestro caso, no teníamos idea de lo que nos aguardaba, lo importante era que íbamos con la alegría y entusiasmo de lo novedoso, aunque, el sol estaba en su máximo esplendor y era agotador el calor, pero el problema no solo eran las subidas, también lo empinado e irregular de las bajadas cuando empezamos a descender.
For most of us it was a new experience, in our case, we had no idea of what awaited us, the important thing was that we went with the joy and enthusiasm of the novelty, although the sun was at its peak and the heat was exhausting, but the problem was not only the climbs but also the steep and irregular descents when we began to descend.
En lo particular, aunque iba atenta al camino, también quería plasmar en las fotos lo complejo de la ruta, pero fue difícil porque ante cada subida o bajada necesitaba mucha concentración para superarlas, la mayoría de nosotros apeló a la prudencia bajando de las bicicletas ante el descenso tan pronunciado e irregular y además, la tierra estaba blanda y resbaladiza, por lo que hubo que descender con nuestra bicicleta con los frenos bien apretados.
In particular, although I was attentive to the road, I also wanted to capture in the photos the complexity of the route, but it was difficult because each climb or descent needed a lot of concentration to overcome, and most of us appealed to caution getting off the bikes before the steep and irregular descent and also, the ground was soft and slippery, so we had to descend with our bike with the brakes tightly tightened.
Habían espacios donde se podían ver las montañas rodeando a la ciudad de la victoria y sus adyacencias, la vista era un deleite, hice pequeñas y rápidas paradas para contemplar y fotografiar el paisaje, atenta para seguir con la manada, era un recorrido con muchos matices emocionales, la tensión cuando se caía algún compañero, el agotamiento, escases de agua, la incertidumbre de no conocer el camino, pero también, alegría, compañerismo y apoyo.
There were spaces where you could see the mountains surrounding the city of La Victoria and its surroundings, the view was a delight, I made small and quick stops to contemplate and photograph the landscape, attentive to follow with the herd, it was a journey with many emotional nuances, the tension when a companion fell, exhaustion, water shortages, the uncertainty of not knowing the way, but also joy, companionship, and support.
Y así, pedal a pedal fuimos recorriendo estos kilómetros de montaña que nos mantuvieron en alerta constante, en lo particular perdí la noción del tiempo, hubo un momento en uno de los chicos que conocen el camino nos dijo: "ahí viene la bajada rompe diente", las chicas nos miramos e inmediatamente nos bajamos de las bicicletas para caminarla, no íbamos a correr riesgos.
And so, pedal by pedal we went through these miles of the mountain that kept us on constant alert, in particular, I lost track of time, there was a moment when one of the guys who know the way told us: "here comes the downhill tooth breaker", the girls looked at each other and immediately we got off the bikes to walk it, we were not going to take risks.
Al terminar lo complejo del camino, nos conseguimos con planos y bajadas suaves que permitieron relajarnos, el premio para los ciclistas es que después del esfuerzo de subir montaña, siempre tenemos el disfrute de la bajada, el último tramo es un camino de tierra y monte con inclinaciones suaves, seguía siendo irregular, por eso, igualmente fuimos cautelosos.
At the end of the difficult road, we got flat and smooth descents that allowed us to relax, the reward for cyclists is that after the effort of climbing the mountain, we always have the enjoyment of the descent, the last stretch is a dirt road and mountain with gentle slopes, it was still irregular, so we were still cautious.
El calor nos dejo muy agotados, esperamos a los compañeros que faltaban para volver al corredor de palmeras que adornan el lugar, aprovechamos para tomar las fotos juntos nuevamente e intercambiar la experiencia de cada uno, he de confesar que en mi mente luego de haber llegado, mi pensamiento fue: ¡sobreviví! (un poco de drama), la conclusión con mis compañeras aventureras es que estas rutas requieren de conocimiento y destrezas para lograrlo, la conocimos y disfrutamos pero no es nuestro fuerte.
The heat left us very exhausted, we waited for the missing companions to return to the corridor of palm trees that adorn the place, we took the opportunity to take pictures together again and exchange the experience of each one, I must confess that in my mind after having arrived, my thought was: I survived! (a bit of drama), the conclusion with my fellow adventurers is that these routes require knowledge and skills to achieve it, we met and enjoyed it but it is not our forte.
Al llegar nuevamente al sitio donde estaban los vehículos saciamos la sed, teníamos hambre y el sol estaba intenso, intentamos ubicarnos debajo de las palmeras pero la sombra era insuficiente, entonces, decidimos ir a un lugar ubicado en la ciudad de la Victoria, allí se fueron concentrando compañeros de otros team de ciclismo, en nuestro caso preparamos unos exquisitos sandwichs que nos dejaron saciados, estuvimos un rato compartiendo para luego regresar complacidos a nuestros hogares.
When we arrived back at the place where the vehicles were we quenched our thirst, we were hungry. The sun was intense, we tried to place ourselves under the palm trees. Still, the shade was insufficient, then, we decided to go to a place located in the city of La Victoria, there were concentrating teammates from another cycling team, in our case we prepared some delicious sandwiches that left us satiated, we spent some time sharing and then returned pleased to our homes.
Una nueva aventura que compartimos, momentos inolvidables para cada uno de nosotros, un día incierto e intenso que nos permitió conocer una ruta diferente, regresamos cansados con la satisfacción de haberlo logrado, algunos dicen que los ciclistas tienen un toque de locura y creo que así es, porque eso de sufrir y gozar lo conocen muy bien.

Excelente que bueno ver estas clases de actividades ser publicadas sus experiencias con la comunidad #FullDeportes. La verdad es que me gustan las fotografías, el lugar donde practicaron este hermoso deportes se ve que es muy agradable, muy vistoso.
Cómo mencionas el transitar en tierra es muy distinto a la otras superficie, acá hay que tener más cuidado al pedalear,al menos es lo que pienso con mi experiencia al ver el ciclismo mundial.

Amiga este recorrido se ve rudo, pero valió la pena solo con ver esos paisajes y sentir la satisfacción de llegar a la meta, me imagino que eso no tiene precio 😂.
