El piloto de la máquina número 1 Ross Chastain logra su segunda victoria de la temporada 2022 de la NASCAR Cup Series, al llevarse la victoria este domingo en el óvalo de Talladega SuperSpeedway. Este es un gran piloto que en sus inicios se vieron los buenos resultados en la Xfinity Series (segunda división nacional), con lo cual le dio la oportunidad de participar en la máxima división, logrando buenos resultados para un equipo que no son los de punto, lo cual nos dice lo competitivo que es esta categoría. Chastain tan solo lidero una vuelta, la más importante, la última que le dio el objetivo tanto deseo, ganar en una de las pistas más míticas de NASCAR. La carrera fue excepcional, con muy pocas banderas amarillas, pero donde quedaron involucrado varios pilotos, perjudicando así las aspiraciones de los conductores para lograr un buen resultado.

Por las dimensiones de la pista y el estilo de carrera, la categoría no vio necesario el realizar prácticas libres, más sin embargo creo que siempre esto es necesario ya que así los pilotos llegan más adaptado a la puesta a punto de los autos, más en esta ocasión donde tenemos una nueva generación. La clasificación se disputo el día sábado, donde la pole la logro el piloto Christopher Bell de la máquina número 20 de Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), seguido por su compañero de equipo Martin Truex Jr #19, Daniel Hemric #16, el mexicano Daniel Suarez quien sigue sorprendiendo en la temporada y mostrando que los resultados anteriores no son casualidad; Kyle Larson #5, Kurt Busch #45, Denny Hamlin #11, William Byron #24, Bubba Wallace #23 y Tyler Reddick #8. Al inicio de la carrera Bell decidió salir en la parte de arriba, mientras que Truex por la parte interior, donde Bell al salir la bandera verde logro bajar para mantener la primera posición de la carrera, por delante de Martin.
Due to the dimensions of the track and the style of the race, the category did not see the need for free practice, however I think this is always necessary because the drivers get more adapted to the set up of the cars, especially in this occasion where we have a new generation. Qualifying was held on Saturday, where the pole was won by Christopher Bell of the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) machine, followed by his teammate Martin Truex Jr #19, Daniel Hemric #16, the Mexican Daniel Suarez who continues to surprise in the season and showing that the previous results are no coincidence; Kyle Larson #5, Kurt Busch #45, Denny Hamlin #11, William Byron #24, Bubba Wallace #23 and Tyler Reddick #8. At the start of the race Bell decided to start on the top, while Truex on the inside, where Bell at the green flag came down to maintain the first position of the race, ahead of Martin.

El primer segmento de la carrera fue ganado por Bubba Wallace, seguido por Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, William Byron y Martin Truex Jr para cerrar las primeras 5 posiciones. Mientras que del sexta a la décima posición, la cuales son los que obtienen los últimos puntos extras quedaron Chase Elliott #9, Kurt Busch, Eric Jones #43, Alex Bowman #48 y Ricky Stenhouse Jr #47. En esta primera etapa no hubo banderas de precaución, tan solo en la vuelta 60 para finalizar el segmento y con la cual Wallace se llevó el segmento. Fue una etapa con grandes batallas, adelantamientos y cambios en el frente. La primera y único para en los pits comenzó en la vuelta 34 donde entraron los pilotos Ryan Blaney, Austin Cindric, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Chris Buescher, Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Chase Briscoe, Michael McDowell y Cody Ware, posteriormente en las siguientes vueltas pararon los demás pilotos para abastecer sus autos de combustible para poder completar el recorrido. En las paradas hubo penalizaciones importantes como la de Brad Keselowski quien se pasó de la velocidad mínima permitida en el carril.
The first segment of the race was won by Bubba Wallace, followed by Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, William Byron and Martin Truex Jr. to close the first 5 positions. While from sixth to tenth position, which are those who get the last extra points were Chase Elliott #9, Kurt Busch, Eric Jones #43, Alex Bowman #48 and Ricky Stenhouse Jr #47. During the stops there were important penalties such as Brad Keselowski who exceeded the minimum speed allowed in the lane.
El segundo segmento se lo llevó William Byron #24, seguido por Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr, Alex Bowman, Kyle Busch, Aric Allmirola, Eric Jones, Ross Chastain y Kurt Busch, quienes terminaron entre las 10 primeras posiciones y ganaron puntos de bonificación, desde 10 hasta llegar a la posición décima quien gana tan solo 1 punto. La primera bandera de precaución fue en la vuelta 82 donde en la siguiente vuelta los líderes aprovecharon a entrar. Las siguientes banderas amarillas fueron en las vueltas 92 y 107, mientras que en 120 fue la de finalizar el segmento dejando como ganador al ya mencionado piloto. En total fueron 4 banderas y para la pista en la cual se estaba corriendo fue muy decente, donde los autos se encuentran muy cercan ya que las carreras son en paquete, trabajando en la succión con pilotos aliados o compañeros de equipos.

Finalmente llego el tercer y último segmento con las últimas 68 vueltas para completar las 500 millas pautas, dejando como ganador a Chastain quien como les mencione anteriormente, tan solo lidero la última vuelta de la carrera, que es la más importante. Este segmento final fue muy fluido también, lo cual nos dice la gran paciencia que tuvieron los pilotos, ya que en la vueltas finales suelen haber bastantes accidentes ya que los equipos y pilotos arriesgan mucho más para poder lograr el objetivo, que es quedarse con la victoria de la competición. En la segunda posición de la carrera quedo Autin Dillon #3, seguido por Kyle Busch #18, Kyle Larson #5, Martin Truex Jr #19, Eric Jones #43, Chase Elliott #9, Michael Mcdowell #34, Alex Bowman #48 y Kevin Harvick #4 para cerrar el top 10.
Finally came the third and last segment with the last 68 laps to complete the 500 miles, leaving as winner Chastain who as I mentioned before, only led the last lap of the race, which is the most important. This final segment was also very fluid, which tells us the great patience that the drivers had, since in the final laps there are usually many accidents as teams and drivers risk much more to achieve the goal, which is to stay with the victory of the competition. In the second position of the race was Autin Dillon #3, followed by Kyle Busch #18, Kyle Larson #5, Martin Truex Jr #19, Eric Jones #43, Chase Elliott #9, Michael Mcdowell #34, Alex Bowman #48 and Kevin Harvick #4 to close the top 10.

Resumiendo un poco la carrera, donde en total hubo 5 banderas amarillas, lo cual me dice que fue una carrera bastante fluido, muy entretenido y donde los pilotos estuvieron calmados, haciendo un excelente trabajo de carrera. El piloto que más lidero vueltas fue William Byron con 38 giros en la primera posición, seguido por Kyle Larson con 32,Daniel Suárez con 28, Eric Jones con 25, Ryan Blaney con 23, Bubba Wallace con 15, Denny Hamlin con 9, Christopher Bell con 7, Kyle Busch con 3, Bj Mcleod con 2 y con una vuelta liderada quedaron Ross Chastain (la última que le dio la victoria), Corey Lajoie, Kurt Busch, JJ Yeley , Cole Couster y Joey Logano.
Summarizing a little bit the race, where in total there were 5 yellow flags, which tells me that it was a very fluid race, very entertaining and where the drivers were calm, doing an excellent job of racing. The driver who led the most laps was William Byron with 38 laps in the first position, followed by Kyle Larson with 32, Daniel Suarez with 28, Eric Jones with 25, Ryan Blaney with 23, Bubba Wallace with 15, Denny Hamlin with 9, Christopher Bell with 7, Kyle Busch with 3, Bj Mcleod with 2 and with one lap led were Ross Chastain (the last one that gave him the victory), Corey Lajoie, Kurt Busch, JJ Yeley, Cole Couster and Joey Logano.
